Absolutely, the main thing for me is to have my account restored. I'm confident I didn't break any rules.

This is the TOS item I was referencing. It's against the rules as I understand them but I'm sure there are some loop holes. There's also a path to create an agency and not have to worry about this at all.

  2. 1. Probably but who knows really without the official word from CS

    2. They'll always be vague and in most cases you'll never fully know anything in my experience.

    3. You're not suppose to have a team of people working off of 1 account to begin with. That's what fiverr considers to be an agency or in the past ... studio. You're suppose to list yourself as an agency if you have a team. With Fiverr's new system everyone is competing against each other for search ranking and it's unfair to the other sellers.

    4. If you can work with them on fiverr you should do so. If these are clients you met outside of Fiverr I'd never suggest adding a middle man where one isn't needed because it comes with a 20% price cut for you and added fees for the buyer.

  3. [insert prompt here] Hey guys so you might not know me but hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more of me now. Through the wonderous series of events leading to AI automation in writing I am now a "Profeshional" copy writer! Luckily I didn't have to go school for it or even take formal classes of any kind. Can I get my badges now please, I assume there's a button attached to a dispenser of some kind?

    Sincerely yours

A post from Reddit today. Personally, I think seller 1 is using AI as well. This is the reason we have nonsense metrics like VFM/Value of Delivery, but it is clearly not affecting the real delivery. Mind you, this buyer's purchasing method probably means they see him coming from a mile off. Either way, he's probably going to end up leaving the platform since what is Fiverr going to do? How much time do people really have to waste inboxing a bunch of bait 'n' switchers using AI?

Yeah, and he bothered me intermittently over three weeks about this. The good news is he's no longer on the platform.

Honestly as a designer this sounds like a buyer issue to me. The buyer assumes the work is easy but obviously has no idea which is why they need a designer in the first place. Literally every designer says this is more work than the buyer thinks and the buyer can't admit they might not know. They just assume they're being scammed or up sold for no reason.

With sketches it's flat art, in a lot of cases they can require a total redraw to do an edit correctly. I'd also love to see the image edit that was done with AI. As someone with midjourney and Adobe Firefly I can tell you that indivigual edits to a sketch are essentially impossible. AI has almost zero editing abilities and will instead just redraw the whole image different than the previous picture.

Oh, what I'm referring to is much older than the "new algo". It has always been a problem with platforms like Fiverr. The buyer has always had way too much power - no enforcement of rules by the platform (requirements, number of revisions, cancelation reasons), no upfront payments, the double blind review system, no removal of false and misleading reviews, etc., etc.

It would take me a day to list all the ways this platform is toxic, when compared to direct dealing with clients.

Every serious, established freelancer with a client portfolio I talk to says the same - "fiverr? I would never". That's for a reason.

As for dishonesty, of course there are dishonest sellers, that's a given. And, sooner or later, it catches up with them. However, there are also a lot of dishonest buyers - and, to be frank, it's incredibly easy to get away with that. Knowing what I know about this platform, if I wanted to I could get a ton of work for free, or I could nuke people, easy.

There is one, and only one solution for a fair freelance marketplace - to have a team of impartial, qualified, serious conflict resolution team to judge and decide disputes. Sometimes the buyer is right, and wants a refund. Sometimes the seller is right, and wants to get paid even if the client is unhappy and doesn't want to pay. Mediation is a MUST.

    Fiverr doesn't have this.

1000000% yes please. We really need a team that is fair that will look over problem orders.

Like a lot of online businesses, Fiverr's buyers soared during Covid, then gradually cooled until it was down right SLOW the final months of 2023. That was cited as the reason for the stock slide earlier this year.

I have noticed a BIG difference in the quality of buyers over the years. When I compare today's buyers with 2013's, there is a vast difference in general intelligence and having a real business.

Of course, seller prices have gone up mightily since those days. I give Levi credit for proving writers could earn a full-time living on Fiverr. He started it all for copywriting in 2015.

2013 Fiverr was the good ol days. I use to buy my Feiyue shoes and lighters from Fiverr. Back when you could only charge 5 bucks. I miss the old Fiverr a lot. I wish it was still here and resent the AI monster that took it's place.

Yes, but I have seen many sellers in my category on Top Rated level.

Right, they have the amount of TRS that they want for that category, hence why they're not actively looking for more. They only want a certain number for each section on Fiverr. I don't know the specifics only that they're not looking to add more TRS to your category.

I fully understand that.   However, going back to my original reply,  when I first started engaging with my SPM in 2022, I was a level 2 seller on 240 orders having joined in 2017.  Fast Forward 2 years, and I am now on over 650 orders, top rated and Fiverr certified.  This is partly due to the quality of conversation I have had with my SPM on a regular basis, therefore, for me, it's entirely worth the original price, and the forthcoming price increase.

@dereck_s Each experience is different on this forum. It shouldn't be, but it is.  I'm lucky in the fact that I have benefitted from the program.  I guess that this is the purpose of these polls to understand how others feel.  But, more importantly to speak up if one opinion / experience differs from another.

I don't know man, I could be totally wrong here as I obviously don't know all the facts but I do know that you have 14 gigs and none of them were showing that they had an order and I couldn't find a single one of your gigs when I searched for website design (I stopped at page 5). Maybe I just wasn't searching right but it seems like you're getting less orders than normal as well but hey I'm glad you're finding value in it and I truly hope I'm wrong.

I got hit hard by this new system man. I'm to the point where I can't see a way I can even stay on the platform so a lot of it could just be me wanting to complain.

@vovkaslovesnyy  I also think the price increase is reasonable.  As one of the 200 sellers that was on the $19 a month rate, some may be surprised to hear that.  However, I have a lot of time for my seller plus manager, and I believe that the 5 or 6 calls I have with him each year are worth the money.  I also feel that the RTO feature has enabled me to reduce my cancelations to pretty much Zero, which has directly affected my success score.  So, in my eyes, $39 a month is still value for money

But....  I have huge concerns if there are a number of freelancers that will remain on the reduced rate of $29 when the whole purpose of this new pricing strategy is to create one clear price point.  The outcome of this, (if it ever comes to light) will undoubtably have an effect on my decision.

But it's not 5-6 calls a year for $39 dollars. It's 5-6 calls a year for $468 dollars. Think about it this way, AAA is a really good thing to have and hopefully you never use it to only have to use it every few months (just like your SM). AAA is $60 a year for me. My creative cloud suite which is all my design programs, my website / portfolio, cloud storage, and 100 other things honestly is 240 a year. You can buy my a years worth or AAA, a years worth of literally everything I need to design and still have $168 dollars left over. This is also just SP, we're not even talking about the fact I lost money on my promoted gigs last month for how well that "Feature" works for me.

Ok! It's also a little confusing that it says "no human input" - because surely the prompts that you enter should class as "human imput"? Anyway, super interesting thank you for sharing!

The law is pretty clear in this matter. You cannot own AI works whether it's your prompts or not.

That's hilarious - so....no one has the rights to AI-generated work technically? Is it the same globally ??

Not sure but honestly western markets are the important ones regarding copyright.

  12. I think the biggest issue with AI is that you can't copyright claim it, especially art. Here's what the AI told me about AI created art🤪. So I have an AI concept art gig that I've been trying to establish. I don't want to do it (I do logo design on fiverr) but graphic design on fiverr is such a crowded market. If you ever want to be a pro or TRS in the design field you have to go the AI artist route as it's the only one with open spots left.

I was recently discriminated against by two sellers who informed me that they do not work with members of the LGBT community nor do they work with any LGBT based designs. He then asked me if I needed any Non LGBT work done so that he didn’t have to cancel my gig. I asked him was this a Fiverr policy or? He responded “No its not a fiverr policy but my own policy” I immediately cancelled the gig and got a credit back

After dealing with him I went to find another seller and was told the same thing. So now here I am wondering, how can FIVERR allow this behavior? Can someone say “I dont work with black people? Or white people” and its ok? Do I need to lead with “Hi! Im Gay! Do you work with us type people?” Just to get some help around here? What is going on FIVERRRRRR?!? I need answers now or you will hear from my lawyer! I have also contacted the BBB in regards to this.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm assuming it came up because you were asking for lgbt work. Fiverr is a multinational company and has active sellers from a lot of areas in the world where being a member of the lgbt community is something they look down on. Normally I'd just say it's none of their business and you shouldn't bring it up and they shouldn't ask but it's obvious difficult if you're getting lgbt designs. Probably your best bet is just asking if the buyer is okay working on lgbt designs to avoid any headache. Is it graphic design work? If so I'll help you out and keep any questions that aren't design related to myself 😁

the ... then report method is not available to myself or it's been removed. I only have access to it through paid gigs.

The last group of sellers all and I mean "all" where using fake profile pics taken from LinkedIn.....they weren't even smart enough to use that identity's location lol

Now I use a simple google image search before contacting someone but unfortunately that usually rules out 99% on being dishonest.

Honestly I would of been better off paying for professional local services. Soo much time wasted 😞

i do agree that there is some great talent here but it's not worth the effort it takes to filter out the garbage......and it's been getting much worse compared to 4-5 months ago.

Out of curiosity were you using sellers listed as Pro or TRS? Those sellers have been manually vetted to some extent.

  16. "Q1" hit me like a sack of bricks due to Fiverr's system update and my demotion to level 0. It made me feel like not only was I a terrible designer but that Fiverr saw me as exactly the type of person they don't want on their platform. I don't know how else to explain getting the second lowest success score you can get despite having perfect public metrics on my account for a decade.

The thing I'm most grateful for is my supportive family that's been able to help me switch lanes in my life and be less reliant on Fiverr and start the path towards other directions and platforms.

My greatest accomplishment/highlight in Q1 was: Investing more in my business outside of Fiverr.
The thing I’m most grateful in Q1 for is: My wonderful son.
In Q2, I would like to improve my business efforts outside of Fiverr even more, to improve resilience against anyone who works from a bean bag.
In Q2, I would like to accomplish a planned platform switch for the newspaper that I own and operate, and see an increase in revenue of at least 20%.
In Q2, I would like to accomplish my plan for increased personal resilicence. Oh, and I'm starting on the carnivore diet!

I do carnivore, can't recommend it enough! I struggled a lot with food options in the beginning but overall it's made a dramatic improvement on my life.
