I don't think canva is considered or seen as an "Unprofessional". Everyone has it's own point of view but I think that it is Professional for professionals and Unprofessional for un-professionals, it's actually how we use it. I hope you got my point.

No, this is totally wrong statement. Who said Canva has ruined it's reputation? And again people may think according to their point of view but there's no such news about this

Absolutely it is how people use it and I never disrespectfully talked about Canva being a bad software I just gave tips for people who you yourself called "unprofessional" people but sometimes it's not cause they want to be unprofessional it is just that they don't know what is professional

So I listed all the no no's in a post for them

Canva has a bad reputation in front of large corporations and clients but this is mostly noticed if you are a designer as they can tell when it is made by Canva and Canva is considered "unprofessional" because it is a free software and some people tend to think that only cheap people use Canva the tips i provided above are to avoid these assumptions.

  2. Hi there,

We all know the great saviour when it comes to designing something with a free tool we have all heard it's name hundreds of times yup I am talking about Canva but there is something you need to know...

    Canva is unprofessional.

    Why?

Well we all know that Canva is a free tool and millions use it but in recent years we have seen Canva being seen as an "unprofessional design software"

How did it ruin it's reputation?

As we all know Canva is for everyone even beginners which is great but the problem with this is many people make Designs that are crowded and use the famous glow text and think they have made a masterpiece but we all Know they just made an abomination (no offense to anyone) so seeing this again and again has made clients think that whenever you see a certain kind of design on something (for example the glow text) then it is best to ignore it which means if you are a person who uses the glow text too much then that is out of the box just unprofessional especially if you are a designer but some buyers won't know the difference, the difference is mostly noticed by high paying clients who knows what unprofessional and professional really looks like.

    Solution

    • Don't crowd your design
    • Don't use glow text (please)
    • Don't use pro designs on Canva which have watermarks
    • Don't use comic-sans (I don't think they have it but still)
    • Don't make a logo using Canva

I can assure you that there are  hundreds of businesses           out there who has the same Canva logo template as their logo 😭

    • Don't make your text too small make it readable
    • Don't get tired while reading my post don't skip anything I can tell if you skipped 😂
    • And uh don't use the worst color combination you can find, for great color palettes visit http://www.coolors.co

So to avoid I recommend you use figma but I know it might not be as beginner friendly as Canva but when you get the hang of it it is going to be a daily tool for you especially if you find the right plugins.

Hope this helps but before I end this post

Here is an example of a design that looks professional and one that is not.

And yes I made the bad design extra bad to prove my point what did you expect? 🙍

I completed the buyers' requirements and delivered the project; the buyer gave me 5-star feedback. After nine days, Fiverr canceled my order, and the buyer is no longer available on Fiverr. I contacted with support team 5 days ago but still no reply from them. Does anyone please suggest to me what should I do now 😞

Did you ask the buyer to leave a good review?

    Hi,

I am a pretty active buyer on fiverr outsourcing content, and have recently had one of the very few bad experiences i've come across.

I purchased a gig as a test, and was thrilled at the quality of the delivery, left a super positive review, and got into conversation with the seller and we agreed a package with several milestones.

The first milestone was delivered on time, and again the content was excellent and fit for use.

The second milestone, things turned a little - Rather than documents being delivered, I received a link to a googlesheet, which in turn had links to googledocs for each of the articles. To none of which I had access. The content was plainly not ready to meet the milestone deadline, and I am now guessing the google sheet delivery is one way to circumnavigate poor delivery times.

Anyway, when i finally received the content 7 days beyond deadline, it was nothing like the standard of the previous ones. I let it slide in hope that the next milestone everything would return to where we were.

The third milestone, was worse still. once again, the circumnavigation of the deadline was by going back to the same googlesheet for links to the documents which arrived a few days late, and only 3 of the 4 pieces were complete and provided access for.

And then, the content - Wow!!, I have used AI Content writing tools for assitance extensively for a very long time and know AI content when i see it, and I was looking at 3 pieces of in excess of 1000 words each of complete gibberish, nonsensical trash that had not been edited at all.

I refused delivery and begun communication with the seller suggesting that perhaps he had used Ai to write the content and not edited it, to which he guaranteed he had written it all himself and that i should leave notes on the google docs as to where mistakes were made and incorrect facts claimed and stated.

I explained this was not possible, because without exception, the entire content was the same, and would be require to be entirely rewritten.

he once again asked me to point out each every part that required attention - I refused because there was no sense in highlighting every single sentance across in excess of 3500 words.

He then apologized and said that he had got a friend to write it for him because he didnt have time - At this point, I opened dispute and requested cancellation of the milestone which he accepted.

I have now been left a negative review by this seller, which seems crazy but not unexpected - Now, I don't much care for the review, I am a buyer, Im not sure anyone really looks at buyer reviews as much as a seller review would be considered, but it seems crazy that a victim of bad service can be left negative reviews, and i was wondering if these can actually be removed?

Hmm Interesting scenario here so what I think is that any left review cannot be changed but if you have a great justification that you are right like 700% then you can contact customer support and report your issues. (I am not an expert btw)

I read the terms of service and it says 13 year olds can use fiverr!

So do you think teenage sellers are allowed to sell on fiverr?

    ---

Didn't you just answer your own question? 😂

😂 Just realized, but do you think there are pro gigs made by teenagers cause that would be interesting as my friend's brother is very talented but he is only 14 and he was looking to apply.

    Hello there!

I am currently working with a client that is accusing me of not completing work, not following instructions, etc. To be clear I have a crystal-clear Fiverr reputation and always deliver my very best work as I take great pride in what I do. The issue with this buyer is that they asked for work on Excel but clearly do not understand the program. They are claiming that I did not include data, when in actuality they are not expanding the other sheets in the workbook to see all the work I put in. I professionally worked with the client to help them understand that this is why it seemed somethings were missing and that they simply needed to look at the other worksheets in the Excel workbook I provided. To no avail, the client was still saying I did the project wrong and needed to redo it. I again explained that I followed the project to the letter, and it was just a misunderstanding of where the data was placed. To better clarify I made a screen recording, showing the client where each data point was located and even went as far as to walk them through each step, I took to create their project to the exact requested specifications. Throughout these exchanges several red flags popped up as well. At one point the client claimed that they couldn't see what I had done since "Fiverr sometimes doesn't work on mobile" at that I would have to resend the file to an email. To this I immediately quoted Fiverr's terms and conditions. At one point the buyer also continued to harass me with messages while I was clearly trying to type up an explanation of the issue and would not stop messaging, asking why I was not answering. At this point I am just trying to explain the project and get to the point of delivery so I can be done with this situation. I am sure he will leave a negative review, though this is not my main concern. More than anything I want to assure he cannot further harass me after I deliver the order and want to report him if possible so he cannot try to scam another seller as I feel this was his goal with me. Is there any way to block or report a buyer? I appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance!

         CV

I genuinely feel bad there are buyers like this all across the platform what I would recommend you do is keep all the screenshots and all the work that you think you have done properly with you and go to the fiverr help section and address your problem and then attach all the evidence you gathered, they should take care of the rest, and once you finish this project block him for sure.

    Wish you the best,

    Kenz

There is no specific requirements. Fiverr team looks at the sellers and choosing whom to give it. You can also open fiverr help page and read a bit more about fiverr choice badge

I checked if there is anything in the help page but couldn't find any

I think it's a good thing that they are selective. I haven't applied for pro, but I'm considering it in the content writer category.

I view it this way: If one does not receive the pro badge, you probably shouldn't have it, and it wouldn't benefit you, even if you got it. Why? Because buyers in that category expect nothing else than perfection. If you're not able to come up with the goods, you'll receive negative reviews and likely loose the badge anyway.

I can definitely achieve perfection but I have not worked with big companies and I don't have a big portfolio
