  1. Or Fiverr could just get with the times and clarify things like some other freelance sites already do: registration.png724×172 25.2 KBI guess what we really need is to hear from someone who has already verified their account or (finally) some official guidance. A little off-topic… sorry. 🙃 They don’t accept authors from the US? How very interesting!
  2. Yes, I think Fiverr does ban them and don’t like being used. Maybe this is one of the biggest problems with sellers, specially on verification. This is probably true. However, I am not so sure about this ⬇️ (at least not until users using VPN are asked to verify their ID)
  3. Sometimes, it can take a couple rounds of back and forth with CS to make them understand your situation. Don’t give up. Although it might be a little hard to do (given your current situation), try not to let your emotions get the better of you. Always be polite and firm when interacting with CS. 🙂
  4. I see. So, the ID verification failed, and when you later contacted CS, they checked your profile and thought you’ve “misrepresented” your country/phone number. In that case, I’d suggest that you try to reason with them. It doesn’t look like you’re at fault here. It seems to be a case of misunderstanding on CS’s part. Don’t give up. Try to reason with CS. I wish you the best of luck! 🍀 Please keep us posted.
  5. Could you please elaborate a little more? Were you asked to undergo the Fiverr ID verification process (where you had to upload two photos: an ID photo and a photo of yourself)? Are you sure they used those exact words? Or was it just a generic message… something along the lines of… “I am sorry, but the ID verification failed”? I agree. @m4hdyar Perhaps elaborating a little more and sticking to just the hard facts might help others understand what’s going on, and they might be able to offer better help?
  6. Maybe the zoom level of the Fiverr page on your web browser is not at 100%. This could be the reason why you’re unable to see the buyer requests option. In order to reset the zoom level to the default value of 100%, please try the following shortcut: For Windows OS: Ctrl + 0 (the number key zero) For Mac OS: Cmd + 0 (the number key zero) Once your zoom level is reset to 100%, you might now be able to see the option “More” at the top of the page. If you click on “More,” you will get a drop-down menu with “Buyer Requests” as one of the options.
  7. I have set my additional words extra such that once the customer’s required word count exceeds the word count of a package, it will be cheaper for the buyer to select the higher package than to select the lower package with the exceeded word count. That way, they don’t select the lower package with the faster delivery time and request for tons of work. I have also set the delivery time of my cheapest gig package such that I have plenty of time even in case that happens. 5 days for base package (5k words) which, in fact, I can probably complete in 1 day - - 10 days for intermediate (25k words) - - 14 days for top package (50k words). The way in which the extras are set (and priced) decides whether or not they (sellers) will frequently run into issues with their customers.
  8. Hi, You need to add a gig extra for additional words. Once you do that, your customers will be able to select whatever word count they want. All they need to do then is to enter the exact word count they require into the “Number of words” field and it will show them the price for that word count on each of your three packages. There is always a default number shown in the number of words field. That’s just the base number of words that you offer for that particular package. If, however, you have set the gig extra correctly, your customers can just delete the default number from that field and enter their own word count and the price of your gig will change accordingly (according to what you’ve set in the gig extra).
  9. I thought so too, now I have to verify. No, I am taking my Sunday off. I have an inquiry, Must the ID’s country of issue match the fiverr profile country? I travel quite a bit, and though I am back home, my profile country still shows a different country. From the time I got my IDs - PP, NI, DL - I have grown a beard - not very huge as I have been through Airports with no hiccups and have had several ID verifications that required taking a selfie and picture of my ID successfully.I am just wondering, considering the horror stories around the platform. Thank you. I am not 100% sure about this, but it shouldn’t matter, imo. The ID verification is just a facial ID scan. That shouldn’t matter at all (logically at least). Not unless you have undergone an extensive facial reconstruction surgery of some sort, too. I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked even then. 😉
  10. It is a disputed territory that claims sovereignty for itself from Morocco. Google maps identifies it as a separate country.
  11. It’d be interesting if @cre8iveartwork had this at the start of each of their gig descriptions: "I am aiming for 100% world dominance. So, if you are not from any of the following countries, ⬇️ piss off! Don’t even bother ordering from me. Algeria, Libya, Bhutan, Albania, Cuba, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Western Sahara, Sudan, Chad, Niger, Mali, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Madagascar, Suriname." jk
  12. I did a quick calc. and found out that 83% of all my orders so far have been from ONLY three countries: the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Apart from these three countries, I’ve gotten orders from only eleven other countries. 🙂
  13. And the entire island of Papua New Guinea (both sides), too! 😳
  14. @lanamahmoud89 I am sorry that it didn’t work out for you. Did you go through the entirety of the first post of this thread? I have given several suggestions on how to succeed in the verification process. Here are some excerpts from that post that might be of help to you: If, despite trying the above-mentioned techniques, you’re unable to succeed, your only hope is to contact CS and get it sorted out with them.
  15. Is it, perhaps, a cultural thing? IDK anymore.
  16. What does any of this have to do with someone becoming a millionaire? What?
  17. I don’t know. You will have to try it out for yourself, I guess. I used a 16 Mp smartphone camera.
  18. It’s very hard for conventional document scanners to match the resolution and sharpness that DSLR cameras/modern smartphone cameras achieve. Scanned documents are usually grainier than photos captured with a good DSLR/smartphone camera; the chances of rejection are, therefore, higher (during the ID verification process). If, however, you think the scanned documents that you have are of good enough quality to pass the ID verification process, you can choose to use them. 🙂
  19. iPhone 🙈 No, I didn’t even have that option (probably because I used my phone to go through this process) Yep, I think the option to access your phone’s Gallery during the verification process is only available in Android phones (which is what I used). 🙂 There’s another thread ⬇️
  20. So, no need for a scanned copy of the ID? Simply capture a photo of it using phone’s camera? No, there’s no need for a scanned copy. However, since, during the verification process (in addition to the camera App to take a live photo), you also have the option to open the gallery App (which gives you access to the photos on your phone) and upload a premade photo, you could opt for that, too. The only reason I suggested using a premade photo in my original post was because users have reported (on the forum) greater success using this option. Several users have reported issues with using the live photo option (as it can sometimes lead to a dark/blurry image). However, it is entirely up to you to chose whichever option you think will work best for you 🙂 I would also suggest that you do not use scanned documents at all as they usually tend to be of lower quality (resolution) in comparison to a photo taken with a good DSLR camera or smartphone camera.
  21. Hi, I am sorry, but I don’t use Payoneer. So, I have no idea how that works. You’re better off contacting Payoneer about that (imo). Good luck! Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood your question when I wrote my initial ⤴️ reply. I agree with @misscrystal. You are supposed to use your own info. for Fiverr ID verification. It is a violation of Fiverr’s ToS to misrepresent your identity. Take from the ToS: Authentic Fiverr Profile - You may not create a false identity on Fiverr, misrepresent your identity, create a Fiverr profile for anyone other than yourself (a real person), or use or attempt to use another user’s account or information; Your profile information, including your description, skills, location, etc., while may be kept anonymous, must be accurate and complete and may not be misleading, illegal, offensive or otherwise harmful. Fiverr reserves the right to require users to go through a verification process in order to use the Site (whether by using ID, phone, camera, etc.).
  22. Okay. But, I don’t see how that would relate to my particular case as I’ve successfully completed the Fiverr ID verification. 🙂
  23. Who? Me? Never. 🙂 Do you still think Fiverr only asks people to verify their ID if they suspect a ToS violation?
  24. I’m sorry, but this simply can’t be correct. If you use FB or Google to login to Fiverr, you login via a security token. Your Google or FB username or password is not the same as your Fiverr password and should not be treated as such. If when Fiverr directs users to a login area, there is no button to click to login via FB or Google, users will not be able to enter their FB or Google details manually. In this case, can you confirm whether such buttons are present? If not, FB & Google users may be exempt from ID checks (at least for the time being). Alternatively, it could be that someone has overlooked the need to add FB & Google support, in which case this should be reported to Fiverr asap. I am sorry if it doesn’t align with your logic/reasoning, but this is what I experienced firsthand. I use a FB/google login to access Fiverr and this is what I logged in with even when I did my Fiverr ID verification. Once I clicked on the link (mentioned in the original post), it took me to a login page which almost looked like Fiverr’s main login page: If you notice, in addition to the regular username/pw option, there is an option to login via google/Facebook too. Once I selected the appropriate platform, I was directed to step 1 of the Fiverr ID verification process upon successful authentication of my login details.
