This is one of my main concerns. A pro gig can now start at $5. It’s difficult enough as it is competing with people selling their services at very low rates but at least with a pro badge you had a bit of credibility as to why you’re selling at a higher price, now if everyone is back in the same pool it could drive everything down. I look forward to getting more clarity on what’s going on.

That’s fair. Seems weird they insisted on that. I can’t actually remember if I had to show anything social media wise to be verified. It should simply be you proving the work you can do.

Out of interest is there a reason you didn’t just apply to be a pro member? If they are planning on differentiating those who applied to be pro and those who are long standing members who deserve some more recognition then I’m all for it. I will struggle though if (and it seems to be true from mentions in this thread) if people with less than satisfactory profiles suddenly have the same status as people who have proved their abilities in the area they sell.

The thing that doesn’t make sense if the point is they are trying to focus on higher priced services is the fact there is now no minimum. A pro gig can now start at $5 if it wants to. As someone who was already a pro member I’m worried about what will happen from here on out.
