FEEDBACK WANTED: What are your favorite methods when engaging customers?

Quite often, the mark of a good seller is one who values customer service. I personally like to over-communicate, giving my clients updates throughout the completion of the project. I also like to ensure that I have all requirements so that I do not do repeat work, and so that I can be able to provide the most value to my clients. What do you all do?
