How to Size FaceBook Timeline Cover?

I’m trying to add a photo as my FaceBook timeline cover, but it’s getting zoomed in way too far and cut off on one side. It is currently 1080 x 608 pixels. That’s not proportional to the current size. I don’t want to stretch it or compress it, it should look the same. How should I resize it so it appears correctly? I read an article about FaceBook Timeline Cover online last night, can someone give me sugggetions?

1702 x 630px is the size i have drawn my covers in (fits perfectly with no distortions).
