If order is canceled, can we use that design for a new order?

Few days ago I had to cancel a order, because he gave me a 3 star rating. It is one of my best business card. Can I sell that business card template to another. I refunded my buyer and he have no right to use it. If he use it, its not fare. What can I do?

There is no one size fits all answer for this question. It would depend the nature of the work. Yes the buyer generally speaking forfeits the property rights by not paying, cancelling and ultimately terminating the agreement. However the design may still be subject to potential copyright and trademark issues, depending on the nature of the design. Really depends on the situation.
