can you tell me that the gig lose rank?

Whenever you make any changes in the gig, you will definitely lose your impressions and clicks based on the changes. But there is a possibility that it might increase if gig images are of good quality and attractive enough to grab buyer's attention. All depends on your changes that how good are they.. Give it a shot.. means change it and then keep an eye on its impressions and clicks that they are increasing or dropping with the passage of time.

I have already answered your question i.e. whenever you edit your gig, you will lose its clicks and impressions at first.

I appreciate for your help. Just last question ..
Will it lose for a while?
If I will take order from the old buyer, is it possible to return the rank?

Thanks in advance

Gig exposure will keep changing and fluctuating with time, no point in being so fixated about it.

Despite our best intentions, we can't really control it.

Why are you focusing on gig ranking? Focus more on impressions and clicks.. not gig rank because gig rank is different for each user.

Hi guys,

Happy New Year!!

I changed my gig image last month, I got "Fiverr's Choice" badge but the problem is that the first image I put in my gig this is showing in second image on search bar and the second image is showing on the first. How can I solve the issue?

Note: Attached Image just for attention.

You’re a tremendous asset to this forum when it comes to educating members, so dedicated.

I have a question related to the current discussion. When it comes to making updates to a gig, I specifically talk about additions like incorporating more pictures or uploading a video, or say like uploading your intro video without going into any other change, do these additions to an already existing stuff affect impressions or clicks for a while as well ? I’m uncertain, but I guess such additions shouldn’t result in a decline in visibility. I would appreciate your insights on this.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Whether it's addition or removing stuff from your gig, impressions and clicks will be definitely affected. They might affect the gig visibility based on the changes.. we don't know that until we experiment it.

As soon as you change something in a gig, it will affect the ranking and you can get more or less impressions. The change can be positive for your gig, but also negative.

If your gig has a good position in the search results, it is better not to change it. I read somewhere that changing the price has no effect, but I cannot guarantee that this is true.

I have 29 active gigs. I will update one, two or maximum three gigs at a time.

Thanks a million to you and @smartdezigns for the light.

I’m not sure about the position of my sole gig in rankings, yet. Just made it live for once to set the things on the go, seven days back with whatever limited technicalities within my knowledge till now. Hopefully I’ll address that in next week.

With only 72 impressions and 3 clicks to the gig till now I really don’t think the rankings are good . I uploaded my intro video yesterday which I think is still there under precess of review by the technical team for any copyrights issue.
Im sure I’ll be in better position to know any change it brings to impressions in next seven days. I’ll keep any eye on the graph to monitor the results.

The most COMMON newbie mistake is to focus on impressions and clicks but these numbers are pointless till your business becomes consistent with a certain number of monthly orders.

Just focus on making your gigs exceptionally good in terms of gig gallery, video, description, tags etc. Make them look and read better than top rated/Fiverr's choice gig in your category.

Beautiful, thanks,_ noted!

Those only being a way to the real goal you mentioned above “consistent orders” though choosing a right path and direction towards your destination has it’s own importance and the indicators to determine that play as milestones.

Good morning, wishing you all a productive Fiverr day ahead.

After our meaningful discussion and  insightful replies by @smartdezigns & @filipdevaere, a question comes to mind:

Should I conclude here that when making changes to a published gig, should they all be done at the same time , rather than spread over multiple days, to avoid repeatedly affecting your rankings?

For example, if you upload an intro video today but plan to update your portfolio next week to disturb the rankings once again.

Oh yes!!

I avoid editing my gigs unless absolutely necessary and usually accumulate changes to incorporate them in a single batch - usually once in a few months.

But also, your account is brand new - so it DOESN'T matter much. Stop chasing the fictional gig rank.

Indeed, try to do them all the same day.

Yes. It is recommended to do all the edits at once.

Absolutely!
Trying to chase fictional gig rankings with a brand-new account is a bit pointless. However, I believe it’s better to experiment and learn now, using your new account to test things out, rather than disrupting a well-established, productive gig later on. This way, you’re prepared for tomorrow’s challenges by learning and adapting today.

My compliments to you all!
