Just Got Promoted Gigs Option - Need suggestion from experience sellers

Hello, I hope you all are doing well. So I just got a promoted gigs feature for one of my gig and it says for customized cap(CPC) to stay competitive I should set a cap higher than 2.02. But It will be very expensive for me to do that right now. So Can someone explain who is using this feature that what are my chances if I set it lower than recommended.And one more thing if I don't have enough balance to promote my gigs will fiver still promote it and charge me when I have the amount or not ?
