Can anyone think of a way to combine my two favourite hobbies?



Would be really good if one could benefit the other seeing as I’m using the funds toward a london to paris bike trip.

Maybe make a gig where you put flyers on your bike/helmet and cycle around for a while - advertising the customers logo / slogan / or anything.

maybe a gig where you teach people how to fix a bike problem that people have or post flyers around your town for people on your bike(good if you live in a big city), or tutor people on how to cycle(eg climbing hills, sprinting)

if you can do bike tricks you can video yourself making bike tricks and holding signs



another good idea is to make advertising gigs. A buyer can give you their advert and you print it, stick it on your bike and cycle around town advertising their advert.

Well I’m a road cyclist so attaching a ad to my bike is probably the best way, but how/where to attach?

Reply to @jdthur: Make the signs and use hook & loop (Velcro) to attach them to the back of your shirt. Easy to change and highly visible!

Now what to make the ad itself out of? Being a statistician at heart not got the most creative streak.

Buy a pack of cheap but thick handkerchiefs, a fresh Sharpie and some super-glue for the Velcro tabs. That should hold up to the weather and be fairly comfortable. 🙂
