Do I need a Commercial Rights License for it?

Hello all,
my first post here. Hope it’s the right category.

I created a spec spot (non-commercial) for applying for a Film University in Germany.
I ordered a voice-over for it.

Do I need additionally ‘Commercial Rights’ license for uploading it to vimeo?

Since you can monetize on Vimeo (and other places) the commercial license isn’t ever a bad idea. You could ask the seller directly, though. You’d get better advice from the seller on what rights they offer in a package.

Vimeo requires you to own the rights to anything you post. They can remove your videos for using music, video, voice over, branding - anything that you do not own the copyright to. It’s in your best interest to purchase the commercial rights from the seller.
