  1. I had a buyer recently place an order for a cover gig, but instead of filling out the requirements they typed "yes" in all boxes and submitted. I sent it back and sent them a nice message asking for the requirements to be redone. Never got a response and the account never came back online. I put in two separate resolution center claims to 1. have the requirements redone and 2. cancel the gig.

Because I was the one to officially cancel the gig, (because it was going to be a "late" delivery otherwise) it counted against my score and dropped it down. I had to reach out to customer support and they did remove the "canceled" order from my marks. They're now glowing again, but it was very frustrating.

I also just received a 4-star rating (first one out of 38 reviews) from a buyer who gave me an awesome review and even said they would use my services again. There has to be a better way to do this. I'm not sure if it's a moral, cultural, or accidental thing. I'm just going to stand by and see how it affects my score. Especially if they do become a repeat.

Your gig: I will create vector illustrations of your photos: You have added only 1 image in the gallery of this gig. Add 2 more images to show your portfolio.

Should I add more photos if I pasted all my images into the first cover image? The vector gig is a new one where I don't really have a broad portfolio. What would be the best course of action? Spread my portfolio out instead of having them all (so far) on the cover image?

  3. Are you struggling to find buyers? I find myself having MAYBE a buyer a month. Feeling a bit defeated. I started my book cover gig in 2019 but redid everything to make it more eye catching about 8 months ago. Since then I have had 5 orders on my covers. I also have a new beta reading gig that has 1 order. My Vector Flat Art gig has none so far. Am I doing something wrong? I know there are ways to advertise, but I cant help feeling a little embarrassed to promote it. About the only platform I have that has any following is Facebook, but I don't want to bore my family with advertisements. This is a look at my analytics for each gig . How can I boost this? Are there too many graphics gigs out there for competition? Any input or advise would be appreciated.

  4. Hi! My name is Alyssa and my gig is designing book covers. Is it common o have many different gigs or focusing on 1?
I already completed an order placed a few hours ago, which was place only 20 minutes after I activated my gig. SO, I'm super optimistic of my future here on Fiverr.

    Other things about me:
I'm a cyber security major and a graphics design minor graduating in December
I have been learning Adobe for 2 years now and practicing cover designs for 4 years for free on Wattpad (an online writing platform).
I also dabble in writing my own stories.

Looking forwards to being here 😊

  5. My gig is book cover designs. I am a graphic design minor in college and have been designing book covers for free on the writing platform Wattpad. I would say I am a beginner but I have been trained in Adobe tools for 2 years now in school. What is a reasonable amount to charge for a book cover?

Since I am new to Fiverr and actually selling my covers, I listed the basic at $5. I had an order place within 20 minutes of it being active. I'm very timely, and feel that my designs are typically pretty well done. I wanted to get some reviews before bumping my pricing, but was unsure if it would matter. Is $20 too much?
