  1. To find out which applications have permission to run in the background, open the Start menu or Home screen and select Settings. Tap or touch the Privacy icon in the settings window. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select "Background apps." This is probably the easiest option. I don't advise you to use unverified apps, as there is a risk of either catching a virus or data loss. I had this problem once before; good thing salvagedata.com helped me and saved all my information on my computer. Since then, I did not download anything to my device and tried to do without it.
