Two days ago I contacted support, and they told me that the platform will not punish sellers for the actions of their authoritarian government. Apparently, this turned out to be a lie. Depriving Russian sellers (most of whom have relatives in Ukraine, whom they help with money) the opportunity to work on Fiverr, you have absolutely no effect on the Russian government. On the contrary, you are depriving them of an independent source of income, and in part pushing them to go to work for state enterprises, thereby indirectly supporting the work of this government in order to survive and feed their families. You deprive them of their ability to speak out without fear that the authoritarian state will fire them from their jobs. You are ruining our lives for absolutely nothing. I hope Fiverr management realizes all the consequences of their decision and stops punishing people for their territorial location.
