  1. Seeing more great stuff guys! Keep it coming! I am loving the stuff since my last post! I hope you've gotten some buyers since you posted! I really love the last one you linked, it reminds me of art for a fantasy card game. Your line work is very solid! I love the weight of them, and the shadowing done on the pieces with no color. Very impactful.
  2. Sorry for no direct quote replies lately! Been super busy. Love what I am seeing though 100%! Thank you all for sharing your awesome works. I hope to keep seeing even more 😄
  3. Pfff ahaha. I dunno, I guess I got lucky? It is very rare when they try to get on my desk now even if I don't mind them up there xD And omg your baby is so cute!~ thank you for sharing ❤️ Wow this looks great! What did you use to create it?
  4. Pfff hahaha. My cats thankfully learned long ago that my desk space is not their play space. They used to climb up on it and walk all over my art supplies but that was a hard no. After I picked them up and put them down several times they eventually got the idea xD
  5. Agreed if you made a gig for it you'd make bank haha. And honestly? Hundreds sounds right. I've seen videos before actually on the art of kimono making and holy shiii-- the amount of details that went into the old fashioned ones, those things would take days and days with several experts working on it at once. It's amazing that such things can now be made in hours o_o I definitely think though that hundreds is a good start since I've seen others selling similar services for hundreds with ease, even beginners. Never sell yourself short. Thanks for sharing the video! And hah, yea cats can be such cute little pains. I have two, actually 🙂
  6. I sure hope people are still checking this thread! I haven't admittedly had much time to peruse other threads lately but if what you say is true, that's a shame. I am glad this thread is one you can (hopefully comfortably) come back to. I LOVE all things Miyazaki/Ghibli. I admittedly wasn't as fond of the movie for Totoro as I was of some of the other stuff, but I always LOVED the designs. It's always so charming! And ugh, I LOVE your kimono and this pattern here. This was definitely an amazing idea on your part. I adore that you saw a kimono in this curtain, and I think if the material could have emotion it would be happy it got turned into something so freaking cute. Will you be doing more of these with the other designs you created? I am very interested in seeing them if you do! Are you self taught by the way on these? And do you do the stuff by hand? Sorry if you mentioned it before, I have a bad memory admittedly but I think it's really cool either way. I have no skill with any sort of sewing stuff but your stuff to me looks very clean. I especially like the sewing at the hem of the sleeves, it is very elegant.
  7. I listened to all of these! All of them sounded pretty cool. Definitely the kind of music I could throw on and get some work done to. Aww, these are really cute! I especially love the kitsune girl that you posted first. Her hair and ears are so fricken cute aaah. Wow so you do the drums IRL yourself to record them? That's really cool. I love the way this sounds - it feels laid back but with a purpose. Haha, I have a friend who calls people Besty. It's really cute =w= Good feels, good feels. Your art is really lovely though. I actually found your twitter and followed it so I hope that's okay ❤️ Thank you everyone for sharing your stuff! I really enjoyed looking at and hearing all of it, and I hope those others here also enjoyed everything so far. It makes me so happy knowing lots of folks are posting here to share or to observe. Yay!
  8. These are both super cute. I really love the way you do the details on the lines, and I love how you mix the softer shading with the harder shading. They looked like they were fun for you.
  9. I always hated how people, especially school professors and stuff, will try and say 'only x is art'. Like... Bruh? Lol. I always see all this beautiful artworks from folks that get denied because of technicalities and it's just... upsetting honestly. I don't really understand it. I'd love to see your other stuff that is more realistic/hyper realistic if you're willing to share. I have reached my post limit so I will reply to angelicshiba when it's gone ❤️
  10. That's very kind of you! ^_^ Thank you as well ❤️ If you'd like to drop more stuff, feel free to share it with all of us here.
  11. This is pretty spicy. Nice clean work. I like how dramatic it is!
  12. This is really cool visually. I love the color theme as well, and I like your choices in a lot of the areas for the highlights to make things pop! I especially love the detail of her face. Overall, I think the soft shading mixed with the harder highlights works really lovely.
  13. It's kind of funny how we can do art for decades and still not be sure what direction we want to take, or what we find most entertaining as a subject or as materials. I think it's great to find these types of surprises that re invigorate your spirit to create. These are lovely! Thank you for sharing ❤️
  14. Yea that makes sense. Technology is cool af! But still very crafty that it was integrated so cleanly. I've always found this sort of thing to be quite intriguing.
  15. Wow that is really cool. I love that the item integrates so well with the real environment to the point it has me questioning if what I'm seeing is not real because it just looks so smooth. I love it.
  16. These are all great. I think my favorite is the first due to the simplicity of it, yet how elegant and refined it is. The others are also great too though. Very good stuff.
  17. Woah.... so the whole thing is done in 3d? Everything looks so real O_O Very cool
  18. Fantastic work! I'd say definitely worth your 2 days, even if it is only 15 seconds. To me this looks really well done. I love all the lighting too!
  19. yes these are still graphic art! And that's really cool! Just like you said they are all distinct and very clear on what they are. Very clean work.
  20. Wow! You have so many skills it seems. This is really cool as everyone else has said. IDK much about sewing or kimono making, but to me this looks amazing! And yea I also really like that pattern. It is really nice. Hey you seem to be doing very well! And it's good to be conscious of where your skill level lies + where you need to work on, but also being able to acknowledge your strong points is good too! I think you're on the right track for sure, especially if you're producing that type of work ^^ If you do more, definitely share if you're up to it ❤️
  21. Very nice! It's always amazing to me when people do these more simple illustrations yet they aren't actually so simple. They come out super impactful and so much thought goes into them. I love the little details like that cute plant and the backs of the chairs, or the laces on his shoes etc. All very nice.
  22. Did these this week. The last was colored in with marker but I never finished it, so the colors on the clothes are mostly just flats ahah. The first has markers for the eye colors and a small edit in my art program for the eye highlights. All done with my brush pen for the lines. I still adore how it feels to use them whew.
  23. I remember doing some charcoal waaaay back in my youth but while I enjoyed how it made things look, the messiness for me was too much xD I didn't like having to clean it off my stuff after. Pencil can be a bit messy too, but I was able to mostly contain it to just my hands and as I got older I learned little tips to not smudge my art while using it. I think my fav pencil is HB, but it's been so long since I paid attention to the different lead types honestly ahaha. Once I got into high school I basically only used mechanical pencils at that point for everything and after that it took me until a few weeks ago to try a wooden pencil. I forgot how it feels, and I am glad I tried it again. xD Better late than never! Thank you so much for sharing your stuff! I absolutely love the style of these thumbs and that baby icon is adorable haha. These are very slick! If you don't mind my asking, how long does something like those thumbs, and that baby icon, typically take? The sketches look so simple and yet there is so much energy and life to them, it's cute. I agree with what Frank said! You could share characters you've created. You could even share small shorts - maybe snips of like 50 words or something idk. I write as well so I get that it's a bit different to share for sure, though. Dude this turned out EPIC. I absolutely love the finished work - from the colors to the expressions to the atmosphere and the chunks of ice scattering. Wow.
  24. Wow that's surreal seeing what I said translated into your language.
  25. Very cool! I never went to any art school and am basically self taught ahah. Never done any work for anyone famous, and have only done a few commissions over the years here or there rather sporadically since I have 0 idea how to properly market. I think that's amazing that you managed to be that successful - and your stuff is definitely very deserving! Pencil work is so much fun - yet so very draining. Looking at your stuff really makes me appreciate charcoal and pencil even more. ^_^
