Hey mate - to be on the safe side, never click links in Fiverr messages.

There's no real reason that you should need to receive links from a client. I suppose, when the client places an order they might attach some links - but this is already less risky as you know they're a legit client.

Fiverr lists some information about links that are allowed in Gigs/messages, check them out here: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011421218-Gig-policies

    They are:

    • ammyy.com
    • blogspot.com
    • flickr.com
    • mixcloud.com
    • reverbnation.com
    • soundcloud.com
    • spotify.com
    • teamviewer.com
    • tumblr.com
    • vimeo.com
    • wetransfer.com
    • wikipedia.org
    • youtube.com

Thanks. I will check it out.

Whenever you open a link, just search "Windows Sandbox" in the search bar of your PC and it will open a separate machine/RDP for you. Now, it doesn't matter if it is a file with malware, it will not affect your main system.

Without checking the file it is absolutely uncertain whether this is indeed a scam or not. So, you can test yourself inside the "Sandbox" without any problem, and it will clear all your doubts. If you find out that it is a malware file, make sure to block and report the buyer.

P.S.- Sending link in inbox is not always a violation. For example, you can attach links to document files or YouTube videos as references (but only if no personal information is attached to the following link).

interesting. I did not know that.

  3. Client whose account was made this month, reaches out to me via inbox. Sounds very professional(probably chatgpt generated), refers to one of my webcomic gigs and sends me an external link to some website, saying the project details are in the said link and i should check it out and let her know if i can handle it or not and provide me with any other options if possible.
I go on the said link which has another link labled "project details" and looks like a google doc. I click on it, and it links to a website that has a youtube video on it in full screen mode and with a message displaying "click allow" or something like that. I dont click on anything there, because all this has been very suspicous to me from the start.

This is a scam. But it made me wonder, what kind of links are allowed to send in the inbox and what aren't. I know that we aren't allowed to use fiverr to take business elsewhere.
I told the client to send me the project requirements inside fiverr not outside.

I'm new on fiverr, with no customers yet - so probably a ripe target for scammers. I'm still not all that sure how everything on fiverr works specially in the inbox and what to do and not to do.

What do you think? And tips if any?

When buyers cruise the search pages, they do not bother to read the small text below the image, and none of your gig images tell what you are selling. Put  3-4 words on each image that tell the buyer your services.

I was hoping some of the experts in the forum could also take a look this post and find errors in what i'm doing.

  5. New seller here. I have a pen and ink portrait gig that i set up on june 3, and I've been reading the forums, looking at my analytics, studying the competitors in my gig cateogary and tweaking my gig accordingly. I've gotten clicks on my gig, but so far no clients. Fiverr hasn't paired me with any briefs either. I dont know if it just takes time to get clients or if there is some blindspot in what i'm doing so far. So can you check out my gig and give me some inputs on what i could be doing wrong? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

You simply edit your gig. Usually, a good way of identifying pricing factors to change, is to look at your orders. Is your base price much lower than the sellers at the top of the search results? Then it might be a good idea to increase it. Do you have extras that never sell? Maybe they could be cheaper? Do you have extras you sell a lot of? Increase the price a bit. Try different ways of pricing your gig to see what works best for you, based on you niche, your competition and what makes sense for you, given the time you put into each delivery.

Hi, i was wondering, if a new sellers base price is lower than those at the top in the search results, is the new seller then not giving them fair competition? If they are giving them fair competition and thereby attracting the clients(my presumption), then why does a new seller need to increase their base price?

you can find low competitive service and make gig with keyword research also you need to wait for first order

Hi, I've heard this wait for first order thing repeated before. How long does that usually take? One guy told me it has been 2 months and still no order, another said it takes 6 weeks or so. Can someone give some details about this? Thanks

Just 4 days? be patient my friend.... I am 2 month almost but still nothing

Thanks for responding. I see, so expecting something to happen in 4 days is unrealistic after all. All these fiverr guides i see online, make it seem like something will instantly happen on fiverr after you set up a gig.
Btw, could you take a look at my gig and see if you can spot any flaws in it. Some outside perspective on it would be of great help.

  9.

I'm new here, and setting up my first gig, and would appreciate your help.
I've seen people on fiverr put servies that aren't completely related to each other in one gig, like for example - one guy put webcomic, webtoon, comics and illustration in a single gig - the first 3 of those fall in the cateogary of comics while illustration can be anything from character design, some landscape, etc.

What are you thoughts as sellers on this platform?
