I'm not sure how much this will help people, unless they're changing more about the selection process behind the scenes. I passed 20K years ago and have had perfect (or near perfect) stats every month, been Fiverr's choice on several gigs for months, tons of orders, great ratings and I'm still level 2.

    🤷‍♂️

Show off 😝 (lol! JK!).... I have a similar track record but I've only taken Fiverr seriously for about a year and a half. I've long passed every goal except this one, so I'm happy about it. The TRS label should help on perception alone...

To be honest I did it just the one time, on just two clients that had asked me about that specific service.

But overall I don’t think it is cool to reach out to past clients for additional work.

I personally don’t like it when sellers contact me again after a transaction has been completed.

    It’s not a good a look.

I haven't been in the forum for a short while (Happy to say that's because of being busy working!) but after reading your reply to my post here I then read your "Fiverr 3.1" post. I wasn't aware of Fiverr plus' coupon feature. I'm thinking that could possibly satisfy my desire to reach past clients without risking a "hand slap" from Fiverr... Hmmm... maybe...

It’s not frowned upon, but I don’t recommend it.

Secondly: I think that one should reach out to past clientele when they have something new to offer that is of value.

    As for what Fiverr thinks:

ToS clearly states it’s a no-no but at the same time, CS agents seem to recommend this to new sellers.

So, in other words: NEVER, EVER do it - except when you DO IT judiciously lol!! Full disclosure, I have done it in the past but with select clients. This time I felt that I needed to ask about the practice before doing it again...

    Thanks Frank...

Please respect our members privacy by not contacting them with offers, questions, suggestions or anything which is not directly related to their Gigs or orders.

The above is from the Terms of Service at the bottom of the Fiverr main page under Violations.

Seems THIS is the right answer. Thanks!

  5. I don't know how to reject a gig or if it would affect your rating, but I think you can prevent (or at least reduce) unwanted buyers up front by putting at the top of your gig description something like "Please contact me to discuss details and availability before purchasing this gig". That's what I have in my gig and everyone messages me before buying... 🙂
