It's interesting seeing how all of the sudden not a single Russian freelancer is apparently paying taxes in this forum. However, on Quora Russian freelancers are helping each other calculate and pay their taxes.

I personally paid them but generally it works the way @milolikespurple described: unless you've crossed a certain income threshold which is enough for living in a regular town, basically you are safe. If the government wants to hurt you, they can always find other reasons worse than unpaid taxes.

And you pay taxes from the income Fiverr provides.

Also from this income I was regularly donating to unofficial media sources trying to provide alternate vision and helped paying fines those who was arrested for their "wrong" opinion (I've been there too).

I fully respect your point though. I wish everything worked the way it's supposed to and stopped the war. Although those who used to support Putin and never cared the sanctions, including police and military staff, seem to enjoy the isolation and the power they've got, giving an "excuse" to the government to continue the course they have chosen.

Instead, those who are able to read your messages, see the real picture and who already suffered from the regime, resisted it or was trying to escape, are hurt.

You are Russian and you want to help the side which Russia wars against, don't you?

I am Russian but why does it mean that I should support the side which, on behalf of me, started the war? I don't share the ideas announced by the government. Nobody asked whether I want this war or not.

People are dying on the both sides.

As long as Russian troops are on the territory of another country.

My state used to be ruled by a tyrant, but this stopped in 2014 during the Revolution of Dignity. Then all Ukrainians were able to overthrow the tyrant and start democratic reincarnations. But you Russians are not taught by history. The Russians are simply paying the price for their silence.

While I agree that protests weren't as large as many of us would like them to be, still I don't think Maidan scenario would be possible in Moscow. Is amount of police and troops Putin and Yanukovich has in 2014 even close comparable? Anyway, blaming each and every citizen that they wouldn't want armed revolution isn't correct, IMO.

I would like to ask all those Russians who suddenly became against the war, for whom did you vote for the last 20 years, or at least on the latest amendments? Or did you not even go to the polls?

Answering to your question, I voted for "Yabloko", never for Putin. Not sure why do you believe that I suddenly became against the war, since I always was. And yes, I protested against Crimea annexation.

  6. I used dear, like my whole life and it’s completely fine even companies like ebay or paypal uses dear in their customer support messages

Don’t you feel it’s a bit hypocritical when some big company, say paypal, sends you something like “Dear user, unfortunately we had to restrict your account due to…”

  7. the hack is just become buyer look for some product or service whom you find online they will revert you once they revert you , You also revert them with positive note it will improve your response time,

Are you suggesting the OP contact people in online groups like Facebook and they exchange messages to get each other’s response rate up?

No it looks like he’s suggesting to switch to buying mode and drop a message to any seller who’s currently online, then he gets a reply from the seller and replies back “with positive note”.

  8. I’ve always felt annoyed when buyers call me sir or dear but I do have a few buyers who I’ve been working with for quite some time and have grown accustomed to calling each other bros and I’m totally fine with that.

On another note, a few times I did get called madam (I’m a guy with really long hair) to which I did correct them and had a laugh. Most of them did apologize for that.

A brutal beard is the key of dealing with that :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
