  1. After having been on the receiving end of this feature, I have thoughts. I submitted my order two days ago and the client just extended the review period by 5 days, making the entire review time a painful total of 7 days. This is preposterous to me.

    This seems to highly favor clients. Its going to delay orders completed in general and most if not all buyers are going to abuse this. So why even give the option of increasing the review period, just make the 5 days official, make it more easier for the buyers to keep the project open.🤷‍♀️

    On a serious note, sellers often have to work around tight deadlines and wait on buyers to accept or decline, even a days increase of the timeline. This feature should also be a mutual decision of both buyers and sellers, as sellers have to be on the receiving end of its consequences. Fiverr already increases the review period arounds holidays.

    I fear this 'test' is going to go the same direction as the 'review' change which we know is unfair to sellers and going to go permanent.

  2. I guess CS agent who replied to your ticket may not have a good knowledge of fiverr system !

    Earlier this was the case with me but now I am able to send custom offers and buyers are able to accept it even though my OOO mode is on…

    My OOO mode is still on and I shared custom offer to one of my old buyer yesterday and she could accept it…

    So functionality is still there but few accounts may run with bugs !

    Will send a follow-up to CS if i encounter the glitch again

  3. That is what I’m doing. It just seems so unprofessional! I have reported this glitch to Fiverr but so far haven’t heard back.

    Thats exactly why the solution of turning it on and off doesn’t sit right with me. How do I professionally explain and ask my client to accept quickly so I can go back to OOO. The earlier system was really good. What is the point of ‘allow new buyers to contact me’ option if we cant send custom offers.

    I did get back a reply from CS and it didnt help at all.

    Their reply:

    “Bear in mind that while being out of the office, we would not recommend sending offers.

    However, since you’ve brought this to our attention, it has already been forwarded to our Product Developers.

    Hopefully, this could be implemented someday.”

    What does the last line even mean? Custom offers while OOO was implemented and functioning till recently, but they changed it.

  4. Hey, Harsha so what do you think, by when FIVERR will file the TDS returns? Because I checked and as of now, the form shows no information or return filed by the deductor/Fiverr that’s been cut.

    Sent a query to CS and got informed that will appear after Fiverr files its TDS statement for the quarter and such statement is processed by the tax department. The statutory timeline to file the TDS statement for the quarter ended March 31, 2021. So your withholdings should appear by May 30.

  5. It will take some time from the date of transaction to reflect in your Form 26AS. The TDS us 194-O is deducted from 01.10.2020. So such TDS will be reflected in Form 26AS of AY 2021-22.

    Shouldnt it start reflecting on TRACES though if fiverr is remitting the payment to Indian Government. I keep checking but it hasn’t updated yet and to view your TDS certificate we need Fiverr’s TAN number.

  6. It was my first TDS deduction 2 days ago (of $1.05), then I added my PAN card details yesterday. Now, it’s showing that $2.05 TDS will be deducted LOL (income is less than 5 lakh)

    I have also read someone here is suggesting to claim a refund in FORM26AS (but is that only for income tax payers)?

    Yes you can claim refund through filing income tax. The whole point of TDS is to bring more people under the tax scanner…
