Seller plus is worth it for the request to order feature alone - and by alone, I mean it's worth it exclusively for that. Everything else is nearly pointless.

Absolutely! RTO is a game changer. The rest - very little value.

What does that smackdown consist of?

For me it has taken the form one "m.od" in particular who has consistently stalked me, removing posts and banning me from posting for a week at a time to the point of sheer harassment simply for "wrongthink." If only they put that energy into the thieves who scam all day long. They are somehow protected, coddled and encouraged.

Thanks for the clarification. That is just wrong!

Disagree with how Fiverr's AI decides if your business lives or dies? Brace yourself for a smackdown from management.

What does that smackdown consist of?

I asked the Fiverr Pro team how sharing my LinkedIn with them would help them with the matchmaking process and enhance my profile and the response I received was simply "As mentioned, we need it to better match freelancers with potential clients when we are doing manual matching, as well as to enhance your seller profile."

This is a great one! As if they ever still do "manual matching!"

What a great idea fiverr… didn’t you get rid of editing reviews a few years ago because it was a horrible idea? How did a horrible idea again became this brilliant idea? 🤦‍♀️

I'll tell you: it's because gen alpha and Z aren't able to hold a job for more than six months before moving on

Just wondering - are there any adults in the room when these youngster/developers are changing things "just because they can?"

...and if they'd listened to our valuable feedback at all before this even started, they wouldn't have needed the show....

can be translated into "this cost our CS team thousands of hours and overloaded them to the extent they couldn't deal with user issues that weren't self-inflicted by an [insert adjective of choice] product development team so we're rolling it back even though it means sellers and buyers can more easily manipulate each other again gosh why is it so hard to make a good review system when we're not dealing with bad actors? Also rolling this back is cheaper than dealing with the app bug so like whatever"

That's my feedback on that point.

I agree. And all of this could have been avoided if they just bothered running in by some of their senior sellers, like us, before they launched it.

I'm sorry, that just wouldn't work - it makes too much sense.

I bet it's a new set of developers who just "discovered" this concept, and don't remember what went before.

Is it just me who is finding it easy to get 5 star reviews in this new system? I mean, I was really worried about it before but apart from turning on RTO, I haven't really changed anything about how I work.... the inbox hasn't exactly been singing and I've just spent a bit more time vetting prospects.

I'm just asking because while everyone - including me! - has been rabbling about all the bad points of the new system, nobody's really shared if their experience is ultimately unchanged.

Same here - I've gotten several 5 star reviews since this new system was deployed. I already had RTO turned on for all my gigs, so my experience just hasn't changed. I think RTO has afforded me the mechanism to pre-screen buyers, which I do by asking an extensive set of questions to define their project. I've declined several opportunities that experience has taught me looked like they could lead to a troublesome outcome. It just miminized the potential for low reviews.

I'd suggest turning on the "Request to Order" feature if you can. This means the buyer has to reach out to you before they can place an order. It helps to have a conversation and get an idea of what you offer and what the client might expect from you before even starting an order.

This is the best feature Fiverr ever got for us. RTO has eliminated the hassles I had with buyers who ordered something I didn't offer, buyers who had obviously not taken the time to read what I provide. It has also made cancellations a headache of the past for me.

Can I ask if you've found that fewer people order?

I haven't experienced a dropoff in contacts or orders from buyers.

But I delivered this logo about 1 month ago due to lake of time I do not make a perfect concept but now I found amazing concept for my client

I didn't realize it had been that long ago. That does make a difference.

    1) If you want it to do it for him for free as a goodwill gesture, you can simply send the new logo in the Inbox.

I think I would choose this option. I would explain the circumstances, so he understands why the late and amended delivery. He may still be able to change to the new logo, depending on where he is using it.

Bottom line is that no amount of AI is ever going to be able to fix the phenomena of people asking for $1000 worth of work for $12.

Well said! This is the essence of the problem with buyer requests/buyer briefs/NEO.

They'll probably keep both. At least for quite a while. Though they kept both buyer requests and briefs for a while before they removed buyer requests. So they might keep both Neo and the normal way of entering briefs for a while until, if Neo works well enough, they might remove the current way of sending briefs.

Yes, that would make sense. I have no problem with that, but there sure has been a lack of information since it "launched." I've just posted a thread asking if anyone can provide clarifications about NEO.

Neo is mentioned 12 times in this call transcript:

    https://seekingalpha.com/article/4623276-fiverr-international-ltd-fvrr-q2-2023-earnings-call-transcript

though that was from the 3rd of August, and there they said:

You know, I saw the same thing with Fiverr Business. A lot of hype pre-launch, and then it just quietly slipped off the radar over the next few months. I suspect because it wasn't all that great a success. I wonder if the same might be happening with NEO. When Fiverr stops talking about a new initiative - that's a clue.

So it seems like a new way of generating and then sending the briefs.

That makes sense. Could it be that they will be keeping and using both methods - NEO and the current buyer briefs? Sure wish we could get some more information about this. Makes you wonder how NEO is or is not working out in practice - maybe they don't want to talk about it.

    Same as it ever was!

That is my experience of the current buyer briefs. I have twice asked if this NEO function is actually being used, since I'm still on the waiting list to try it out. If NEO is doing the matching - what a horrific fail that is!

The Fiverr announcement said this: " Leveraging the latest technology and cutting-edge algorithms to create a ground-breaking matching tool, Fiverr Neo™ offers faster, better, and more personalized experiences."

Oh really? With the ultimate irony, as I wrote this, I got another buyer brief that was a terrible mismatch.

From what I understand, NEO shouldn't have anything to do with buyer briefs?

In watching the video about it, it looks like it is a new AI way to match buyers with sellers. From the launch announcement: "Today, I am really excited to announce the launch of Fiverr Neo™ which is designed to do exactly that - introduce an all-new experience that will allow our customers to express their needs and be matched with the right solution."

The Fiverr announcement said this: " Leveraging the latest technology and cutting-edge algorithms to create a ground-breaking matching tool, Fiverr Neo™ offers faster, better, and more personalized experiences."

I get the impression that this would replace the existing buyer brief process. I may be wrong, but the lack of followup information by Fiverr has left me pretty baffled about it, to be honest.
