marcv1
Hi there, my name is Marc!I just created my very first gig and I have been told that it can take a very long time to get your first sale. In order to combat this, I have read a lot of tips and browsed the forums.I would appreciate if someone could take a look at my gig and give me some constructive criticism. Thanks!Best regards,Marc
blaisefaint
Dear Marc:I took a quick look at your profile:Your profile image: No suggestions.Your one-line statement that appears on the profile page, directly below your user name: No suggestions.Your profile text – note the edits:Hello, I am a busy student with a variety of different hobbies including basketball, volleyball, soccer and badminton. I do strength training with emphasis on functional training and biomechanics. -MarcI see no business reason to discuss your hobbies or your status as a student. Stress your professionalism rather than things such as hobbies or your newness to Fiverr. Talk about how your skills benefit the Buyer and how you are here to help the Buyer. All your gigs should have video, 3 images, 2 pdfs (for more samples and your business policies), and so on… The screen shot of your name as a logo serves no business purpose that I can discern. Your video should definitely have audio, and you should say, “Exclusively on Fiverr” and superimpose those words onscreen.Make a video of yourself talking to the camera, because this approach garners IMMEDIATE RESULTS. Include additional samples in the video!Your one gig is oddly specific and caters to a narrow niche. I doubt Buyer Requests or the Fiverr search engine will do you much good. With this gig, your challenge will be to market to potential Buyers in such a way that they will seek you out on Fiverr and overcome the hurdle of registering on Fiverr to order your service. Seems like a tall order for a narrow market to me, but on the other hand, I know nothing whatsoever about your gig. After the 100th customer sends you 9 hours of video on VHS or BetaMax, you may find yourself fine-tuning your requirements for this gig.I do suggest that you use your skills to build more broadly marketable gigs, after thoroughly studying the resources below.Good luck,Blaise[details=Click Here for TOP SECRET Tips and TricksNever Contact a Seller on Fiverr to Ask for FREE STUFF!]Be sure to read the Fiverr Terms of Service and to make use of Tools like the Fiverr Blog, Fiverr Academy, Fiverrcast, and Fiverr Support.Engage your common sense. I will go ahead and change my profile text into something more business oriented, and start working on the pictures and videos. One of the problems of my gig, as you mentioned, is the narrow market. I will try to work on that! In fact, I already have a couple of other gigs planned.Thank you yet again for the in-depth reply.Best regards,Marc
