Fiverr is broken.

It's the only conclusion I can come up with after being on here for 2 years and only getting one job in my inbox and the rest spammers.

 

oh wait, ive gotten 2 other messages from potential clients but the app and the website failed to notify my, ruining my response score.

 

furthermore, the removal of buyer requests has essentially rendered my entire business obsolete, if i never had a chance to field potential buyers before, cutting off that direct line of communication hurts small time sellers like me.

 

but as in all forms of business and work, the little guys fall to the bottom clutching at pennies while the top earners take the entire pie. thanks fiverr.

i'll be taking suggestions on what other platforms to use for freelancing because this site hasn't helped me at all in 2 years.

Well no freelancing site helps you. Don't go into this believing a website will help you. Instead, you are the one that has to improve their presence here and show that you are an expert which surpasses everyone else in their niche.

Another thing to note here is that you entered Fiverr at the worst time in history. The number of sellers tripled, quadrupled even during the pandemic, so obviously there were a lot of people making accounts, which means not everyone will receive a job. Add to that already established sellers that stand out when compared to newcomers and yes, it really was the worst time to create an account if you did that in 2020 at the boom of the pandemic.
