Communication is a good way to build rapport with new and existing customers.

To maintain a good rapport with buyers, sellers need to develop good communication skills.

What are the elements of good communication skills?

POLITENESS: Be polite in your communications with existing and prospective clients.



CLARITY: Express yourself with as much clarity as possible. Make sure you describe what you offer in details in your gig description. Your message should be clear and well understood.



COURTESY: Treat all clients with courtesy. Buyers are human being and love to be treated with courtesy and respect.



UPDATE: Sellers should try their best to update their clients as far as their progress is concerned. This will carry the buyer along and keep well informed about the state of his or her job.



APPRECIATION: When an order is placed, acknowledge the receipt of the order(s) and learn to appreciate your buyers for the opportunity given to you to contribute your quota to his or her progress in life.



If you apply all these tips which involves communication at one point or the other, you will retain existing customers and attract new clients to your gigs.



I have applied these tips and they have been working for me for the past few months of joining fiverr.
