Tagging 101: What to Tag, What Not to Tag!
Hello Talented Sellers! We've all been there: you've created a stunning design, but it's getting lost in the crowd. This is why our forum posts emphasize over and over that tagging your designs is a must! But the real key to getting your designs noticed is tagging effectively.
What do we mean? Only tag what’s relevant to your designs, and avoid over-tagging! Using irrelevant keywords can actually hurt your chances of being found by potential buyers. For example, let’s say you have pet industry logos to tag. While it might seem tempting to tag every animal imaginable, remember to stick to what's truly relevant.
What to Tag:
  • Specific Animals: Dogs, cats, birds, turtles, bunnies etc.
  • Pet Supplies: Food bowls, leashes, collars, toys, etc.
  • Veterinary Services: Medicine, stethoscope, grooming, etc.
What NOT to Tag:
  • Exotic Animals: Lions, tigers, bears (oh my!)
  • Farm Animals
  • Wild Animals

Why does this matter? By tagging your designs accurately, you're helping buyers find the perfect design for their needs. When you tag irrelevant keywords, you're diluting your design's visibility and potentially misleading buyers.
The same logic applies to the restaurant industry, and any other trending business. Today’s post we’ll review some best tagging practices for some specific “child industries,” to prevent these easy-to-avoid mistakes. We made this detailed table especially for you, so used it wisely! Feel free to retag your existing logos or add new ones.
Ready? here we go:

Parent Industry 1: Food & Beverage

Parent Industry 2: Animal and Pets

Be specific, but not exhaustive! Remember:
  • Quality over quantity.

  • Be specific - consider your design elements and child industry.

  • Think like a buyer.

Use tags that are directly related to your industry, the specific products or services you offer, and the elements in your logo.
By following these simple tips, you can improve your design's visibility and attract the right buyers! Do you have questions or suggestions for specific industry tags? Share them in the comments!
