Hello talented Sellers!
Today, let's explore the fascinating world of the hospitality industry, an arena often searched for but has low conversion.
So, what exactly is the hospitality industry? At its core, it's all about ensuring customer satisfaction and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This diverse sector caters to the needs of travelers, tourists, locals, offering both short-term and long-term hospitality experiences. Short-term hospitality, exemplified by bars and restaurants, involves brief visits for dining and entertainment. On the other hand, extended hospitality, found in hotels and accommodations, caters to guests for a night or longer, providing services beyond immediate consumption, ensuring a comfortable and extended stay.
Most of our buyers that define themselves as part of the hospitality industry have stated that they have a business for long term hospitality. This might have to do with the fact that we have dedicated industries for short term hospitality (bars, restaurants, events, etc)
Over the past two decades, the landscape of this industry has transformed significantly. In the past, the hospitality industry was saved for mainly big players who had the capital to open and invest in a hotel, a motel or a bed and breakfast. In 2008,  Airbnb shook  up everything. It opened doors for smaller businesses and individual hosts to participate alongside large hotel chains and provided opportunities for entrepreneurs with minimal upfront investments.

What type of logo might work for the Hospitality business? Logos for the hospitality business should be simple, memorable, pleasant and inviting. A common mistake is to design logos that show a whole scenery such as a house and a lake and a tree and so on. I can see the confusion since it falls under Travel and Tourism, but we must differentiate between the two. Tourism or travel logo should convey movement and show a scenery that one can imagine himself in, while a hospitality logo should be simple and to the point. Same goes for travel icons such as a suitcase or a globe. They fit travel in general but not hospitality.
Style:
  • Classic Elegance: Consider a classic and elegant style to convey a sense of sophistication and timeless appeal.
  • Modern Minimalism: Opt for a modern and minimalist design for a contemporary and sleek look.
  • Font:
  • Serif Fonts: Use serif fonts for a touch of elegance and tradition, especially suitable for hotels and upscale establishments.
  • Sans-serif Fonts: Choose sans-serif fonts for a clean and modern feel, fitting for boutique hotels or trendy restaurants.
  • Colors:
  • Warm Tones: Incorporate warm tones like gold, burgundy, or deep reds to evoke a sense of comfort and hospitality.
  • Neutral Palettes: Utilize neutral palettes with whites, grays, or earthy tones for a sophisticated and versatile look.
  • Imagery:
  • Iconic Elements: Include iconic elements related to hospitality, such as a house, or a key. But remember, keep it simple!
  • Nature-Inspired: For wellness or eco-friendly businesses, consider nature-inspired imagery like leaves or waves.
  • Versatile Icons: If using an icon, ensure it's versatile and easily recognizable, even when scaled down.
  • Emblem Approach: Consider an emblem approach for a traditional and established feel.
  • Monogram: consider creating a set of Alphabet that would convey elegance and cleanliness
  • Abstract Shapes: Use abstract shapes or patterns to add a modern and artistic touch, suitable for contemporary establishments.
  • Typography:
  • Balanced Fonts: Ensure that the chosen fonts are balanced, legible, and complement the overall design.
