Do we have an update on if this was rolled out? Anyone experience reviews after cancellations?

Not on cancellation but I am already painfully experiencing the effects of the changes.

I have 101 five-star ratings and 1 one-star rating, left a year ago by a buyer who was kindly refused to be given a project for free.
Now, after this change from last week, my ratings suddenly are showing 4.8 (based on just this one angry one-star 'revenge' out of 101 positive ones) and I had not received even one order since then. Not even one. I was an active seller, often had to make myself unavailable because I was constantly overbooked. Not a single order since the change was implemented. So these are the first effects...

You have 24 hours to reply, I think you are a bit too harsh.

I mean, I am happy, I am not a huge fan of this change, but I don't know how much it will affect me, if at all. It will start weeding out some of the bad sellers though, which is a plus. I've been here for a decade at this point and there have always been people that just set up a gig to deliver random stuff and earn money. Then they block the buyer and try to find other people to scam. By the time Fiverr finds out about them, they already made thousands upon thousands. So in some ways, this measure is a good thing. The downside is that it will affect genuine sellers due to things beyond our control, like buyers ordering without consent.

I have Seller Plus but didn't include Request to Order until now, but I might at least for some gigs.

You have 24 hours to respond in order to keep you response RATE. But your response TIME is going down every hour you don't respond. I reached out to the support about it - they were "very kind" to say that that's just how it is, Fiverr doesn't consider the time difference and that I just should keep up with responding... So no, I'm not being too harsh.

Happy people don't come to the forum to talk about this, they continue working.

In some fields it can get very expensive, true. That being said, you can ask for any price you feel comfortable with, that covers taxes and the Fiverr cut. I am in my 10th year on the platform and my base price has always been $5. But with this new measure I see a lot of abuse coming in, so I think it's finally time to increase prices.

Happy people are not on Fiverr...

    I think fiverr needs to

    1) Give sellers the ability to accept or reject an incoming order.

    2) Buyer should not be allowed to leave a bad review if seller worked hard to please the buyer, in that case this should be reviewed by fiverr's team and order must be cancelled without affecting order completion rate or rating. The buyer can keep his money if he is unsatisfied with the final product.

    That would be fair.

Exactly - as freelancers, we choose who we'd like to work with. Not on Fiverr though. Anyone can come, place an order, ask for free stuff, lie in feedback and Fiverr will protect them. Now on top of them, they can come freely, ruin the ratings and go - and Fiverr will protect them.

  5. This is heartbreaking 😞 Another rule favouring the buyer and destroying the seller.
How many times it happens that a buyer comes with an attitude "I pay, I demand!" They DON'T READ the gig description, don't provide all the requirements and place the order blindly, asking for things that sellers do not provide. When explained that within the order, they either insist on completing the order - for months, "because they paid" and at the end, unhappy with the outcome they come back with "revenge" leaving terrible feedback. It's like asking a taxi driver to take them to the moon....
No fault on seller's side. The details of the service are described, the requirements are requested, the communication is kind and fast - we do what we can to please them. Yet Fiverr offers zero protection for us in such case. Now another opportunity is given to buyers, protecting them yet again, and sellers can only "respond" to their feedback in a little box below. But the reputation and ratings are ruined regardless. That's quite awful and very sad. Shame.
