I am also getting gigs at a slow rate, but I have noticed that gigs have been coming in more regularly over the past few weeks.

I have only worked several months on Fiverr, my top gig has three reviews and gets impressed about 20 times per day. My question is: when should I consider advertising this gig? Should I wait until I organically build up my reputation, or will advertising help me get orders even when I'm getting started?

It is definitely possible to get orders if you are just getting started. In fact, I don't think it's a good idea to spend money advertising a gig with no reviews. You should get some good organic success so you have some good reviews before you even consider advertising.

If your gig is optimized with high-quality images, samples of work, and a strong description, then it is only a matter of time before someone finds you. You may just need to wait several weeks to a month, and then once you get your first order, the amount of orders coming in should steadily increase from there.

[How do I know if I am on the right path?]

I have been a seller since November of 2022, so only several months. In that time, I have completed five gigs. Three came in a short timespan in early January, and I have only received one since then. My impressions increased to a peak in early January, about a month live on Fiverr, then dipped back down.

Is this normal? Does everyone experience this up and down while they're beginning, or is it a sign that I may have an issue I need to correct?

It is true that sharing on social media is one of the last means of manual outreach, there are still some things you can do.
