Rubbish advice, especially for someone who claims to be fluent in English.  You have been going for 3 years and you only have 3 orders?

@hikari_saito  There is no need to stay active all of the time.  Just ensure that your gig is the very best it can be. If you're in a crowded niche, try to be  innovative in your approach.  Don't be like everyone else, as you will just merge into the pack

Thank you so much, Breals! What are some things I can do to set myself apart from the competition?

    You’re 100% right—it’s a really crowded niche!

6 month wait and all time online active. You get order and impration.

Thank you so much for the reply! I’ll try to stay active.

I apologize, but I don’t understand the last sentence…could you rephrase that?

Hello Hikari, Welcome to the forum!

You can add 2 or so PDFs to your Gig in addition to the 3 Gig images, so you could show some more of your art, which surely would be helpful. This forum category is one of the only two (My Fiverr Gig being the other one), where it's allowed to post a link to one's Gig, so, maybe that would help with getting more replies, if people don't have to look you up on the main site.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful advice! I really appreciate it.

I have quite a few examples I couldn’t fit into the 3 slots, so the PDFs are a great idea.

And I will link to my gig. I’m used to the Etsy forums where it automatically links to your shop, so I suppose I thought Fiverr did the same thing. Thank you for mentioning that!

Hello, I think it will depend on what service you are offering and where your likely customers hang out.

I checked your gig, nice drawings! You should definitely do add-ons or other services for colors! 🙂

I think people get a lot of commissioned work through Twitter/Reddit/Discord communities, I know you prefer not to but if you really want to get some initial traffic and sales it will definitely help if you promote your gig and direct them to your gig here. For Youtube I see a lot of people who teach about drawing and then plug in their services if they want commissioned work. Definitely depends on your style and what you're comfortable with.

As getting orders (organically) as a new seller is difficult. Down the line when you get more orders, you will be more "visible" and it will be easier to get direct orders on Fiverr. 🙂

I definitely agree that social media is the way to go with advertising. I'll consider the YouTube channel idea, that sounds like it'd be fun and what I'd be most comfortable with.

Thank you so much for the advice and compliment—it's very much appreciated!

  5. Hello, everyone! I'm Hikari and I'm new to Fiverr.

My first gig went live today, and I've been wondering how I can advertise it. I personally don't use social media and prefer not to. Aside from using websites like Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, or making a Youtube channel, do I have any options?

Any answers are much appreciated. Thank you!

(Also, I'm so sorry if I posted this in the wrong subforum. I will gladly correct it if I did.)
