I think if we want to avoid direct orders then we should set the good pricing for basic gig. I faced same problems multiple times. Most of the time buyer didn't provide enough information so I had to cancel the orders.

Editing gigs is a good practice, Yes. But if your gig ranks then don't dare to touch it. Just keep whatever it has. All the best
