I think it's best to talk with CS  and get their feedback on what they think. I always ask them for be sure, as these are legal terms..

If you have seller Plus, contact that person and get their feedback.

I tried it. The CS agent replied like I'm the buyer, I had to again describe all the details. I'll keep that inquiry active.

I am aware that as a Fiverr freelancer you work under the Fiverr NDA.
    https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service

That's what I said. I told them about Fiverr documentation and TOS as well. Still, the client sent me an agreement from hellosign. That agreement is not really suitable for this small order I have...

  2. Hi,

I am having a very uncomfortable and unusual experience with a client now. 😒🙄

The buyer suggested about 20%-40% lower value than I proposed for a design job under storyboard designing. I'll not go in to exact figures due to obvious reasons of under valuing this client/ this order/ this incident.

The thing was only a graphic design job for an animation project (30 second - 60 second). My task could be to draw the storyboards according to the provided script from the company. Please note that the client did not mention about signing an NDA before agreeing to place the order. After, the client said, they cannot send the script without the NDA signed. Also, mentioned about forgetting it prior to placing the order.

These are some strong statement that I am not familiar:

    image.thumb.png.b711503e08a6f03678b98860ef5235d4.png

If I agree to this, I'll not be able to provide my services to other competing clients to this company, correct?

    image.thumb.png.7e808aa1e054a5646e55cbe0a7b39916.png

This $60,000 is simply like a fine if receiving party (That's me) break this agreement, is it not? I don't see this much value in the project that I am currently involved with.

I don't find this as realistic under the order value I currently have and now I am considering to get this order canceled with mutual understanding.

Could you guys help me on this? I am in a real pickle... 😑

A borderline scam, if not an outright scam. For-sure a trap, and it preys on those who don't know their history. It's like owning a star (not naming a star, that's a different thing). You don't actually own anything, just the sense of ownership. It's an economic bubble that's going to burst, just like the dot-com bubble did.

If you want the actual definition, use Google.

Slow down there. Do you know what an SKU is? Did you know that proof of ownership is a hard thing to implement in the digital domain? Non Fungible Tokens are simply an application of decentralized technology.

I'm not referring to the Bored, or Happy Apes, or Punks!

This is real serious technology, to be honest. Also, the art NFT thing will blow over and people will get to know the real use cases like digital certifications, and proof of ownership.

    Conclusion:
Don't be quick to judge because you'll have to use NFT or a decentralized ticketing system in near future. 😁

That's how I feel about this new trend thing! Cheers!!!

Most businesses test new features on two set of users --

    1. The most loyal ones who won't leave regardless of how bad the features are
    2. The newest ones who do not matter much as of yet

If the features pass the initial tests and become available to everyone, you'll likely get them too. If they're handpicking sellers, that's up to them. If it's for new users only, e.g., the rising talent badge, we obviously won't get those.

In short, it mostly has nothing to do with you or your services.

    Keep up the great work.

    Yeah... Understandable. Thanks buddy! 🙏

Don’t give up, keep experimenting, try new things, simplify if you can.

For example, I write Facebook ads, but I don’t manage the accounts. Others manage and write the ads. It’s up to you what you do.

Thank you, friend. You're one of the good ones 😊🙏

I'm really sad to read this. May I ask which services and features are not available to you but have been offered to your friends and family?

It must be demotivating. I'm so sorry.

But take pleasure and pride in knowing that you take care of your clients the best you can. Try not to compare with friends and family if it makes you feel bad. These things do happen here but in time, if you remain dedicated to delivering high-end products and a good and consistent experience for your buyers, better things will come.

Also, note that some features come and go, sometimes without us noticing; it could be that you have not been looking at your profile to see the features being applied and then taken away. For example, the cash advance comes and goes, as do the 'this seller has a high number of repeat buyer' messages. These fluctuate frequently depending on your current client satisfaction but I'm sure they will appear at some stage!

This helped me, thanks for the kind words.

About the features: One had Fiverr's Choice for a gig the same as mine. Another one has a Cash Advance feature. Another one has the Portfolio feature. That portfolio thing is so cool 😥

I'm naturally optimistic, this kinda drama to get answers, 😅 But it hurt me a bit as well. I'd like to evaluate myself and adjust accordingly. I am so focused to be a better version of myself, on a daily basis.

Can you be more specific? Are you jealous because the people you helped are doing better than you?

Maybe their English is better? Better portfolio samples? Better customer service? Better gig titles? Better luck?

    Could be anything and everything.

I've been on Fiverr since 2013. I'm still figuring things out. Years ago, I had a success manager, and he gave me no useful advice. Not even what keywords to use. Here you have to be your own success manager. Good luck.

Nope, jealousy is not promoted by my text or my mind, I'm a Buddhist person. I'm not sure about my English though, it's weird; maybe you got a different angle of it.

Generally, I kinda know them like the back of my hand. They are pretty normal, not  super pros or too bad.

    You're doing it since 2013?????? Who am I kidding, right? 😅 🙏 I'll try harder I guess.

  7. Hi folks!

I'm a tiny freelancer, I've been working on Fiverr since 2018. I've got so many friends who started after me. I helped them however I can. It is always my pleasure to introduce freelancing for dummies 😁

But, I have to be honest now. Some people like brothers, sisters-in-law and friends are having so many features from Fiverr. Each of those has something I never had... I feel jealous now. Also, kind of sad. I play by the rules, I provide genuine services. I cannot see unique things when I compare my other guys with myself. Fiverr is taking care of those people I mentioned.

Unfortunately, they are not happy with my 99% customer satisfaction rates or top-notch services.

Where did I go wrong, darn it!

If I say yes, it would be a fat lie. I'm a Sri Lankan, we need foreigners and oversea investments as well. Due to the current situation; things are not well for us.
So, feel free to visit, but you might feel some discomfort here, and there.
    Cheers!

then submit revisions and other requirements clearly. it is better to submit all once, it will help to adjust simply and help to save time and data of both

This is a major problem. Some clients do not realize this. The disadvantage is, both the buyer and seller lose excessive time if all things are not mentioned once.

Can you buy a generator? I read a story of a successful seller in Nigeria, from a very poor village, that had a generator so he could be online whenever there was a blackout.

Nice idea sir. Me and my brother used to do that a few months ago back in Covid-19 crisis. But it's Economical crisis now, we have miles long queues on fuel stations due to shortages. It's a disaster to be honest. If I did not have my online freelancing career, I'll be in so much trouble. I feel so bad for my nation... 😥

A huge shout out to internet & marketplaces like Fiverr. 😇

  11. Come on dude, use an addon. Also know as extensions. I use something called Dark Reader on Chrome Browser. It gives me so much control on how to dark my stuff. I use this type of addons all the time and everywhere! Even in Fiverr Website!

I didn't misread it, just explained my own experience (and that I agree with you.) Just adding the fact that persistence CAN help. I do agree that it could be better, but I can't really blame the people themselves (not saying you are either). It seems to be the system itself that's faulty.

(again, in the example I sent, they completely misunderstood what I was trying to ask them. I just... asked again, and tried to emphasize the point of the question, and it got through.) Now SHOULD we have to do this? (not really), but with Seller Plus and stuff existing (and Success Managers being able to help in some cases instead) I can KIND OF see why CS isn't as... great as it could be.

    Let's cheers to that! 🙏 🍹

I've had some issues recently as well - but do note that CS likely has less than a few minutes to 'deal' with a single message (as they have... a lot of them.) I definitely think they could hire more people though.

(last time, I was asked to write for a contest about NFTs, and as it was a contest I wanted an answer from CS whether it was OK to do so or not, mostly so I could show it to people that it's not allowed as they didn't seem to believe it.)

I was told that NSFW stories are fine.

(and later, I was told that I can do it, but if it's against TOS, I'll be breaking TOS...)

My point is that sometimes they really just copy-paste things that seem to vaguely fit the question BUT if you persist, you'll get an actual person re-read it. Just have patience and know that they are human as well.

Well, I'm not accusing or criticizing as mentioned on top 😰. Sellers are the live stream of the Fiverr business model. If we do not receive the support they will gradually fall as a business, right?

All I want see is little bit of improvement to enable us to custom tailor best services we can. They are 'humans' I genuinely respect that, so I never go harsh on any points, but they also have a responsibilities as we all do in Fiverr business model. 😉

Don't misread what I am trying to say, that'll be all 🙃

  14. There are lot of things about this question actually. You might not need a lot of clicks in some scenarios. For example, when we do an uncommon gig, we only need very niche specific people to reach us. After satisfying those few people came, you will be scaled up by Fiverr. Because they admire good sellers who satisfy their clients with good service and customer relations.

I should say, don't try to complete for too much for analytics or orders. Care the customers you occasionally get and make a solid reputation out of it. Fiverr will make you a hero at the end.

This might not be the answer you expected, but think about it too! 😁

    Cheers!

Well CS tends to have very similar inquiries from people, so they do have some premade messages.

It also depends on the type of issue that you are facing. Some issues are more serious when compared to others.

Indeed my friend. Answering FAQs with premade message templates would be a good choice. As you said, when we face difficult things, now that is where it needs to stop, I guess.

  16. Hi, I'm not trying to criticize here. But sometimes when you're in a big trouble with a client or a difficult situation. The Fiverr CS is the place we look for answers. So, when I expect a really good answer, I get a copy pasted reply! The biggest problem is this happen occasionally. And please note, I am not saying that they should type it all. But some people just copying and pasting irrelevant text from everywhere. 😰

I had to rate the honest experience in that instance. I never tried to rate other bad experiences that occasionally happened. But if this is getting worst, I'm going to submit experience rating for each and every CS inquiries... Otherwise the quality of the CS will degrade I guess. 🧐

I recently felt like I'm getting replies from a bot first! But after I genuinely disagree and point the issue, a human-like reply was given to me. Does that mean we get automated replies for the problems from bots? I know that some chat bots usually send about acknowledgement info, but do they use bots for replying to inquires too?

What do you guys think? Does this happen to you too? 🙁

Fiverr is looking for great facilitators. As a seller you should be focusing on your buyer's experience overall as much as you do on your actual craft.

Right on point! A lot of buyers always genuinely appreciating my customer services, they might have forgotten about my above average design(s), service(s) 🤣

Well I always forced me to see that as a positive thing, now it's legit after seeing it so clearer.
    Cheers!
