Please know that Fiverr must abide by any international sanctions that apply to Russia.

Please provide a link to the legal documents that prescribe to prohibit Fiverr to work with freelancers and buyers from Russia. As well as a link to the documents confirming the need to comply with the above prescriptions and bans, and a list of penalties for non-compliance. You make serious statements, but are they justified?

We can only guess how long this "temporary" could be. Even if it's 1 year, this is disastrous

In my case, the account was just blocked instead of suspended. I'm writing here by miracle, if I clear my cookies, I probably won't be able to log in again. Here, just in case, I wrote more details:

Обновление: Роспотребнадзор будет анализировать жалобы потребителей, пострадавших из-за ухода иностранных компаний для формирования групповых исков — заявление ведомства.

    То, о чем я говорил.

Если к искам присоединится Китай, Fiverr может прекратить свое существование, как токсичный и неинтересный ресурс для всех.

Я бы не надеялся на наше правительство и нашу судебную систему. Именно правительство бросило нас первыми, и только потом уже присоединились другие компании и Fiverr.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for our government and our judicial system. It was the government that abandoned us first, and only then did other companies and Fiverr join in.

  4. Warning.
It seems that for too active participants of the topic administration Fiverr applies a simpler and quieter solution - just ban the account under the pretext of violating the rules. Today I got an email: "your Fiverr account was permanently disabled".

Not only that there was a real threat of losing the last income. Now the threat was carried out. I just have no words. Fiverr destroyed 3 years of my work simply because I didn't keep quiet about this situation. I can't get in touch with my clients. I am just in shock.

All I have left is proof that my account once existed.

Russia artists: how can we help you? Tell us how we can contact you.

Thank you for your support. Just the fact that you support this topic helps us. I understand that we are not omnipotent, so it will be enough just to draw attention to this problem and hope for understanding and common sense. We all hope that the conflict will be resolved as soon as possible and ordinary citizens of the affected countries will be able to return to a peaceful life.

  6. Micha Kaufman, I join in the appeal and ask for some of your time.

I have been working on Fiverr since 2018, and I am sincerely grateful to you and all the employees of the company, including the attentive and responsible tech support team. Fiver has become my only livelihood and an opportunity to live and develop in spite of all the difficulties created by the government in my country. Thanks to the income in foreign currency I received for my work from wonderful customers, I was able to get out of poverty and get a chance to live a normal life and integrate into the civilized world.

Amidst the terrible wave of discrimination that the world community is now demonstrating, I sincerely hoped that Fiverr would help me out when the whole world has turned its back on the ordinary citizens of the Russian Federation, who have nothing to do with the terrible events that are taking place.

This global discrimination on the basis of territory does nothing to alleviate the crisis. On the contrary, it only increases losses and complicates the lives of ordinary people. Understand, you are simply depriving me and many of my compatriots of my last livelihood and hope for the future.

Such economic measures only strengthen the position of the current regime. I am extremely saddened by the events in Ukraine, because I, like many citizens of the Russian Federation, have friends and business partners there. None of us in our right mind would attack them. This madness is not the fault of ordinary citizens. We are held hostage by the regime here. It is already impossible for us to express our opinions openly (I can easily go to jail for 5-10 years and die there just for this my appeal), and without an outside source of income, most of the innocent citizens will be forced to submit to the dictatorship permanently.

I ask you to listen to us and let us continue to work on Fiverr, because we are not asking the impossible. I have been faithfully giving 20% of my income from orders to the company, have never broken the rules and have been helpful to my customers. My customers still need my services and my family and I need food and medicine and I am willing to keep working even if the commission gets higher.

Dear Micha Kaufman, I believe that common sense will prevail and I am counting on you. Thank you.

Yes. It's very easy for me. I am homeless spending day and night begging my family to gather their courage (and get over their stubbornness in some cases) to flee Kyiv and volunteering in a refugee center while trying to work to gather the money for them.

We're having this "fight" because I haven't slept for more than 3 hours during these weeks and I am now terrified of darkness. So I'm waiting for the sun to come up. And I don't have a couch. We sleep on the floor. Old internet retorts don't really apply to this new reality, do they.

The couch, lol. Of all the things.

I'm not at all belittling the problems you've had to face. We're all in a pretty shitty position. I have never had anything against Ukraine and its people - I, like many Russians, have acquaintances, friends and business partners there. I, like all adequate people, am against what is happening.

But your "fight" here and maintaining discrimination against the innocent will not make my situation any easier or yours. Neither will this decision by Fiverr - as I said earlier.

If it makes you feel any better, I have an infirm grandmother and a mother who also does not want to leave Russia and I have to do something about it. And yes, losing my source of income will not help me in any way. I just want to say that the decision to invade was not made by me, but by our insane dictator, but the decision to deprive me of my income was decided by the wise administration of Fiverr. Was it a good decision? Will it help Ukraine and you personally? Doubtful. Will it get me in trouble? Absolutely.

Running into the night with a backpack is quite unpleasant, I can give you that. But I've done it with a pretty serious limp. Plus, Russia still has the roads and the airports. So that's a plus.

As for people "being forced to join in", I hold no illusions. They will join in when they are told regardless of the financial situation. I hope it stops with the *professional troops* but let's be real. Russia is running out of those and Kyiv still stands. So I'd rather those who could leave would be pushed to while it's still possible. The alternative is mutual destruction. Not in Minecraft, for real. I don't know if the masses understand that. I don't know if people crying over Ikea leaving the market get where this is going. I hope they do.

Fighting on the forums from the couch is pretty easy, I can give you that. But I wouldn't wish anyone to be in Ukraine or Russia without money and support right now.

If financial pressure makes Russian men hop the planes to Georgia or Estonia while they still can instead of joining the "brotherly liberation" of my people and holding nuclear powerplants hostage, I'm 200% behind the idea.

That would be great, but it's a little more complicated than that. Just because of such illogical decisions, ticket prices have risen disastrously and continue to rise, banks have restricted withdrawals, and there is no cash in ATMs.

As a result, a large part of the population cannot leave the country if they want to. And next, men can simply be forced to join this madness, threatening the lives and freedom of them and their families.

  10. It's just amazing.
It looks like in vain I hoped that at least Fiverr during all this madness with the cancellation of the Russians will remain an island of common sense.

I consistently gave 20% of my income to Fiverr, followed all the rules and provided the best quality services possible. And what do I get in return - I am deprived of my only livelihood in a country that is on the verge of default.

You have no idea what average citizens who were unlucky enough to be born in Russia are going through right now. I came to Fiverr precisely to avoid working for the local regime and starving to death in the process. I might be able to leave the country, but if not, I will have no choice.
