As far as I know , If you edit the packages, prices, or names of the packages. If you edit the description, your ranking won't be affected .

you can edit. but careful about your tag.. your tag should be edited

just edit one section in a day.

Editing gig can do you two things, it's either your gig de-rank or it rank.  Just make sure and be careful of what you are editing. If your gig it's already at the front page I will suggest you leave it. But if it's at the back there then you can optimize it.
