Have you found yourself confusing being a seller with being a buyer? Have you (almost) fallen victim to the 'put in your card details for an order' scam? 

Congratulations - you're not ready to sell on Fiverr. 

But please, if you are lost, confused and new (or... just the first two), read this post. 

Fiverr is not the same as similar platforms. 

You do NOT get work by contacting clients - clients contact you. 

I think most people will say 'yeah, that makes sense, that's why we have gigs'. And yet, time and time again, it's proven that many people still don't understand what's going on. 

Gigs are advertisements for buyers to click on. 

Contacting other sellers - or ordering their gigs will NOT give you work. Especially the latter. 

If a page looks like you are buying something, you probably are. 

I know that someone has told you before that it might help. 

that sometimes the internet is confusing and it can seem like you're doing one thing, but something else happens. We all make mistakes. 

But you are not only harming yourself but others as well. 

Can't understand it in English? Read a translation (that you know is valid-ish.) 

Ask questions. Precise ones. Smart ones. Not just 'how to sell' or 'when will I sell' but ones that show that you are putting in effort. 

Effort, well - that's a whole other story, I know. 

Trust me, you will avoid making others grouchy... 

(and you won't have to come 'banging in front of someone' to refund your money....
