I’m a new seller offering website development services, and I wanted to warn others (especially beginners) about a scam attempt I recently faced ⚠️.

A buyer messaged me saying they wanted to place an order, but Fiverr was “showing an error” and they couldn’t make the payment. Then they asked me to join a Google Meet call to “fix the issue.”

✅ This felt off — and I immediately knew it was a scam attempt.

✅ Fiverr never asks buyers or sellers to fix  payment issues outside the platform, and video calls are not required for orders. Plus, asking to take the conversation off-platform is strictly against Fiverr’s Terms of Service.

I didn’t join the meeting and blocked the user, but I wanted to post this so other new sellers don’t fall for similar tricks.
