Fiverr has been a huge part of my journey—I’ve built a strong reputation here, formed great relationships with clients, and grown my business from the ground up thanks to this platform.

That’s exactly why I feel the need to speak out about Fiverr’s new free AI website builder.

I understand the appeal of AI. I use it myself to support my workflow—it can be a great tool. But when Fiverr starts offering clients a fully automated, free website solution, it feels like a slap in the face to the professionals who’ve spent years building their careers on this site. We’re not just here selling gigs—we’re creating thoughtful, strategic, and customized digital solutions. And that’s not something any AI tool can truly replicate.

A good website isn’t just a few stock images and filler text strung together. It’s a living, breathing piece of someone’s brand. It takes skill, planning, creative thinking, and human connection. That’s what real clients come here looking for—and Fiverr used to understand that.

This move doesn’t just undercut freelancers—it sends the message that our work can be boiled down to a quick template and some automated copy. It cheapens what we do. And frankly, it shows a real lack of respect for the talent that built this platform in the first place.

I’ve spent years pouring my energy into serving Fiverr’s clients with integrity and professionalism. So to now see Fiverr essentially telling those same clients, “Hey, you don’t need to hire a real person—you can just use this AI tool for free,”—that stings. Hard.

If this is the direction Fiverr wants to go—competing with its own sellers—then we all need to start asking some serious questions about what kind of platform this is becoming. Because right now, it feels like we’re being treated as disposable.
