Ask the Community

I have been freelancing on Fiverr since July 2023 (even though I registered back in January, I did not actively start until June - July). Since then, I earned my Level 1 badge a few months ago but was recently demoted to Level 0, thanks to Fiverr’s funny algorithm. On average, over the last 6 months, I have been getting between 5 to 15 new contacts or inquiries each month. Not all of them convert into orders (I wish they did!). I am probably averaging around 2 to 5 orders per month, give or take. And if terms of gig competition except for data analysis and web scraping, where the competition is tough with many sellers ahead of me — the competition in my other services is relatively low (around 50 to 200 similar offerings) 

I am still optimistic and happy with how I have evolved since I started. Like many of us I believe, I went through the usual phases. Starting with low prices, then gradually raising them as I got orders and positive reviews. I also tweak my marketing strategies here and there. But of course, the goal is always to increase orders. And that is where my current focus lies — scaling things up, which I know is not easy or straightforward, and certainly requires patience. That is why I am reaching out for your advice: 

Could you take a quick glance at my profile and let me know if there is anything that stands out as 

 You do not need to know the specifics of what I do. But from a generic point of view, is there anything you think I could improve? I am planning to upload an intro video and maybe add a few projects to the portfolio section. Also, I am not sure if adding a profession makes a huge difference in terms of selling? 

, my current train of thought is: I am pricing my packages (Basic, Standard, Premium) mostly based on hours of work. For example: 

Basic → 1 hour of work: $...
 Standard → 5 hours of work: $...
 Premium → Custom solution: $... 

Previously, I was focused on keeping my prices lower to attract more orders. But recently, I have started thinking of raising my prices, even if that means getting just 1 order a month (rather than 3 or 4) for the same overall earnings. Now, I am not sure if this is a good idea anymore, especially considering how Fiverr’s algorithm calculates your Success Score and compares you to others in the same niche
