In 2019, I began my freelancing journey with little more than determination and a laptop. I had no background in freelancing, no clients, and no clear roadmap—just a desire to build something meaningful on my own terms.
A freelancer’s journey from Fiverr’s bottom tier to a thriving creative agency.
I started small, offering brand design services on Fiverr for just $10. In those early days, even getting one order a week felt like a victory.
Over time, with consistent effort and an obsession with delivering quality, things began to change:
- Progressed from Level 0 to Level 2
- Scaled from one order a week to 30+ orders a day
- Grew from a solo freelancer to a small, dedicated team
But success wasn’t a straight line.
The Setbacks That Nearly Broke Me
In 2021, my Fiverr Promoted Gigs feature was removed—a change that had a major impact on my business.
- Order volume dropped significantly
- I faced serious doubts about the future of my business
For six months, I struggled to stay afloat. I had to downsize my team and reevaluate everything. But rather than walk away, I doubled down. I worked with my Fiverr Success Manager, explored new strategies, and remained committed to improving.
Then, just as momentum returned, Fiverr introduced a new level system.
I was reset back to Level 0, and again, my order flow dried up.
Reinvention: The Turning Point
This period forced me to expand my skill set and rethink my business model.
- I diversified into website development, logo animation, and social media services
- Rebranded and restructured my Fiverr offerings
- Focused on client relationships, retention, and team training
These changes set the foundation for a new phase of sustainable growth.
Reaching the $1M Milestone
Today, I’m proud to have:
- Regained my Level 2 badge
- Built a fully operational creative studio with 20+ team members
- Achieved the $1M Milestone Award on Fiverr
- Accomplished personal goals—including purchasing my own house and car
A Platform That Truly Empowers
Fiverr has been more than just a marketplace—it’s been a partner in my growth. Through every setback, challenge, and reinvention, the platform offered me the tools, visibility, and support needed to grow from a freelancer into a business owner.
To anyone starting out or feeling stuck: your journey may not be linear, but with persistence, adaptation, and a commitment to excellence, it is possible.
