I’ve always believed creativity and technology are not opposites; they’re teammates.
My story into AI art started long before I ever heard of Midjourney or Kling. I’ve been a passionate gamer for more than 24 years, and gaming taught me almost everything I know about computers, IT, and digital worlds. It gave me an instinct for composition, lighting, and storytelling, skills I didn’t even realize I had until AI made it possible to turn them into art.
When I first discovered AI image generation, it felt like unlocking a new level in life. My first real project was for a colleague who was retiring after forty years at our company. I wanted to gift her something special so I made an AI portrait of her dog. I’ll never forget the moment she opened it in the canteen. The reaction from everyone around made me realize something: people feel AI art when it’s made with heart. That same day, I created my first Fiverr gig, and that’s where everything began.
Since then, I’ve created over 60,000 images in Midjourney while producing artworks and videos for more than 400 projects. My workflow today is a precisely built creative ecosystem:
- Midjourney for crafting detailed, imaginative artworks.
- NanoBanana for complex edits and visual handling that Midjourney can’t achieve.
- Kling AI for cinematic animations.
- HeyGen for voiceovers and speaking avatars.
- Topaz Photo AI for upscaling finished pieces to 6,000+ pixels.
I’ve always been both a visual and audio thinker. When a client describes what they want, I instantly see the full image in my mind, the colors, lighting, and emotion. What I see, I then transform into a prompt. After thousands of creations, I know exactly how to structure a base prompt, short, precise, and optimized. We refine the prompt step by step until the base image is at least 70 % perfect. The remaining 30 % is perfected through editing in Midjourney’s editor or NanoBanana. We then finalize every artwork in high-resolution quality using Topaz.
One of my proudest collaborations has been with Aristocracy Atelier London, for whom I created a full “Fantasy Cluedo-style” campaign, twelve tailor-made suit artworks, cinematic trailers, and complete board-game packaging. It was a fusion of fashion, storytelling, and digital craft, all powered by AI. The biggest challenge wasn’t mastering the tools, it was earning trust. Many early clients thought AI art was “just pressing a button.” I had to prove that while AI provides the brush, it’s still the artist who paints the emotion. Consistency, storytelling, and understanding the clients’ vision built that trust.
My Tips for New AI Creators
- Learn what AI can’t do. Time is money. Knowing AI’s limits saves you hours of frustration.
- Think in pictures. Don’t start with words; start with what you see in your mind, then describe it precisely.
- Refine relentlessly. The first result is rarely the best. Small prompt changes can transform everything.
- Build your workflow. Combine multiple tools, understanding that each one has its own strength.
- Keep the human touch. AI creates visuals; emotion still comes from you.
Balancing creativity and AI is like conducting an orchestra; every tool plays its part, but the melody must come from you.
As for what’s next, I’m diving deeper into AI-driven cinematic storytelling, creating short films that blend narrative, visuals, and sound into a single emotional experience. The future of AI art is limitless, and this is only the beginning.
