Ask the Community

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening to the Fiverr community. I’m a Level 2 Seller who has been offering business plans for many years, and throughout my career here on Fiverr I’ve successfully completed and managed countless orders, and continue to do so. 

We all know well how the buyer-to-seller interaction typically begins: the initial contact usually happens through the standard messaging system, after which the seller sends a custom offer or the buyer places an order directly from the Gig page. Once the order is placed, Fiverr generates a dedicated order page, which includes a specific chat thread for that order where all follow-up communication is ideally meant to take place. 

Over the years, I’ve noticed that many clients tend to disregard the order-specific chat and continue using the general chat. If you think about it, this is not ideal, as it’s much more efficient and appropriate to manage communication for each project directly within its own dedicated order thread. This is especially important when handling multiple orders for a single buyer. Managing everything through the general chat can become confusing and difficult to organize. 

From my perspective as a seller, the order chat is not only more convenient but also very easy to locate, whether I’m working from desktop, mobile, or tablet. So my sincere question is: is it truly difficult for buyers to find and use the order chat? I ask this with genuine curiosity and transparency, because not being a buyer myself, I don’t know whether there are significant differences in the user interface on the buyer side, especially between mobile and desktop. 

I’d like to hear from the Fiverr community and also from the Fiverr development team: is there a way to make it clearer for buyers that, once an order is active, the communication should ideally continue in the order page chat, rather than in the initial message thread? Could there be a more intuitive transition that helps guide buyers toward using the order chat directly? 

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this.
