Hi

My name is Haritha, and I have been a Level 2 seller from Sri Lanka since 2021. I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I encountered while verifying my account.

Recently, I received a notification to verify my account. So, I attempted to verify my account using my government-issued ID, which I used to verify my Fiverr account in 2021 when I opened it. Unfortunately, the verification was unsuccessful. My national ID contains Sinhala, the local language in my country. I believe this may be the primary issue causing the problem.

Later, I got a message from Fiverr saying I could not act as a seller on Fiverr. Your account is not verified for selling. In response, I submitted a ticket (##12757706) to the Help Center 2 days ago. But I got no response yet. 

I'm deeply passionate about working on Fiverr and have two regular customers waiting to place a new order. I truly wish to continue my journey on this platform. Could you please guide me on how I can resolve this issue? Your support in this matter would mean a great deal to me.

I don't think so. My national ID is full of Urdu except dates and card no. Still it was successful.

Wait for a reply.  Everyone has their national language on their ID, but it works. I think the problem stems from the overall photo verification, for example the first ID I used is older, and my account was stopped until I was able to try again with the passport, which has a newer image of me. I lost weight and my facial structure changed, so I can see why it failed last time. Talk with customer support, try again and eventually it will be fine.

Then there is another issue with the verification process. I saw many sellers have faced with this issue.

Maybe this is the issue. I'll try to contact CS.

Not yet. still waiting. I create a ticket and their reply i have another chance, but it was not there, so i reopen the ticket and i am waiting for two days with out any reply. :(

This is my ticket number and i am still waiting for 3 days to get some update. I am checking it again and again but i do not have any response from customer support. please let me know if i can do anything about this in my end.

Hey @slbestimpress

As @donnovan86 mentioned the language should not impact your ability to be verified. 

I understand how upsetting this could be, but I see that your ticket is still open with CS. We ask that you please be patient as you wait for a response.  

Tickets are all handled in the order in which they are received. Also, please kindly refrain from opening multiple tickets on the same issue. They will only be merged into one ticket and may end up extending your wait time.

Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of what we're able to assist with here on the forum since we do not replace Customer Support. 

As I mentioned to OP, please be patient with CS, as they are currently experiencing a high volume of tickets. Rest assured, they will respond to your inquiries shortly.

CS was contacting me yesterday and sent a link to verify my ID, but the link isn't operational. So I reopen the ticket. I don't know what the reason for this is. 😞

did you try to verify it using old NIC? i mean the one with Sinhala letters?

@smartdezigns No, I tried again with my ID, which includes Sinhala and Tamil letters only, but it’s not supported. I don’t know the reason, but it keeps failing. :( Anyway, I got a chance to retry. I have two more attempts left.

Now, I am exploring every possible way to create another document within the given time period, but it seems like it’s not possible. I don’t know what to do. I searched on social media to see if anyone has successfully completed ID verification using a Sinhala language ID (this is the old version; now the government issues IDs with English). Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anyone.

The problem is that it takes more than a month to renew my NIC.

@Lena @Kesha Please let me know if there’s any way to verify my account.

CS sent me a link. But it doesn't work. I informed that. Let's see what's going to happen.

There is no process of renewal of your CNIC on an urgent basis? You could not find anyone because others might have their CNIC in English that's why. Find another way then like Passport or Driving license.

I have the same issue. Tried with my National Id card (Only in sinhala language) . The verification process failed.
