What category of service do I need to check these ecommerce listings?

Question

Posted

I need the following:

1. Navigate to: (web address)

2. For each of 265 artworks, check that orientation, dimensions, and price conform to the table below. Each artwork should match exactly one row of the table.
3. Maintain a report listing the title of each artwork that does not conform

(reference table)

This doesn't seem to fall under and of the proofreading or ecommerce categories. Any suggestion?

Maybe it could be done in "data scraping" (or programming & tech)?

Maybe you could ask if they could create a data scraper (with a bit of programming maybe, like python) that goes to the specified web address, looks at each of the artwork pages, checks the dimensions of each (if they're values in the website), check each against a .csv file that you supply that are what they are supposed to be, then outputs any that are different.

Possibly. When I did the work myself, it took about 2 hrs. I need a second set of eyes and I'll have similar work as a follow on. I was thinking a virtual assistant, but many of them are just doing specific gigs, like cold calling for real estate.

You could do it with a virtual assistant if you wanted (though it might be more manual work than doing it another way). You could search for those that offer the type of work you need. Or look at "manual data entry" where they could create a spreadsheet of each, and a row where they mark if each is the same/different or just have a spreadsheet for creating the ones that are different.

If it could be done with data scraping & programming it might be more accurate (eg. might not miss differences that a human might), and if you have similar work needing doing again the similar program/scraper might be able to be used again/edited for the new site/task.
