YOUR OPINION PLEASE- BRIEFS

Recommended Posts

Hiii Community 😊

I have probably talked about this once in a comment before but I'd love your insights on this;

I have been on Fiverr for probably 5-6 years, not much sales tho(at a time I didn't have the time but the few sales I made were sharp! when I got the time, during the buyer's request era). Now, since the invent of 'Buyer's Briefs' I have not had one for once even tho I have tweaked everything tweakable following recommendations here and alerting the customer rep. once

— Is there possibility of shadowing-banning or neglect?

— I have 4.6 rated New seller status, marked all levels box but earnings... Is there something wrong with that, does NS get briefs?

— Had 9 diff. clients in total all but one negative review(which i delivered great tho, just had her reasons even after revision), others are 5star... might that affect?

Kindly give me your insight to this, I'm already planning to delete cos Briefs seems to be the only way out for sellers now except returning clients

I'm in an industry (mostly) that is VERY informal and tight-knit, BUT I'd never write my gigs (or profile info) the way you have. While I appreciate that everyone has their own style, especially with copy, there are limitations to how you can express yourself when you want someone to trust you, if that makes sense.

I'm not saying edit your whole profile, but I genuinely think toning it down might help (if not with briefs, at least with more people wanting to give working with you a shot.)

Being a new seller after 5-6 years (even if you weren't trying to be 'full-time' is definitely an indication that something isn't working (again, with or without briefs) so it might be time to consider that. One way is to do research on the industry to see what people are looking for at the moment - and tackling it from there.

It's probably mostly levelled sellers that get the most briefs, and I assume it will also take average rating into account too (though it doesn't say that in the help pages but maybe one of them might have mentioned level in the past).

Briefs get sent to a lot fewer people than buyer requests did I think.

This comes from the Fiverr help files: Get matched with buyers – Fiverr Help Center

At the end you will find the FAQ list. Check out FAQ 2 and 3.

If you are not getting briefs, then Fiverr has decided that your services don't qualify.

Thanks for this.

Of course I saw it almost immediately they released it in 2022 thereabouts. Right from there i knew low level and beginner sellers will have less luck with fiverr but I kept hoping. I guess my bad review came at the wrong time 'cos I was doing well before that. I'll reconsider my stay here at this point, Thanks!

Thanks for the insight, I recently changed it to this as the former was too formal, that's the marketing part of me doing A/B tests lol.

Sure, I'll follow your advice and redact but I'm sure it's not the reason, i mean that wouldn't affect the algorithm from sending briefs and considering that I just lessened my formalty for most of the gigs.

But sure Thanks! I needed the review. 😊

Sure my thought, it was even stated in their FAQ as someone screenshoted above, I expected luck for we NS to get briefs when it came out too but then I didnt know two years later I wouldn't smell it lol.

I know others struggle with it too but maybe it's my luck not getting any.

I'll tweak once more and see what's up. Thanks for your contribution 🙏

Some extra information about briefs.

I currently receive an average of 5 briefs per day. Last year this was easily 10 to 15 per day. So I have already received a few thousand briefs.

Only 1 brief (August 26, 2023) was an assignment that met the services I offer. But still, Fiverr failed to detect that I do not do Spanish translations and that the price was too low compared to my standard prices.

I decided to take my chance and contacted the buyer. I showed a few samples of my work. I already made several user manuals for "trimmers" so showing an example was easy. After showing the samples, I got the assignment. I could do it at my standard price and only in English.

So since the launching of "briefs", I have only received and been able to finish 1 brief that was an assignment for a service I offered. I have to refuse the rest of the (thousands of) briefs because they always ask for something I don't do.

Oh wow! This is almost unbelievable. To be honest, I feel briefs Briefsotal flaw in their effort to cut scams because I have seen others complain about this tangent briefs sent to them. While I, though haven't experienced a brief have had clients come straight to my dm who later in minutes Fiverr will automatically block off and send to spam. I mean all about 15 clients that have done so after the 'briefs' invention and I didn't experience even one of such during BR.

They could have used AI in assisting them with blocking off spammers who send offers during Buyer's request but then....

Thanks for the insights, I shouldn't wait for briefs then lol. How do you then get your clients sir, they come to the dm?

How do you then get your clients sir,

My clients all contact me through my Fiverr inbox.

I have the RTO (Request to order) function enabled, so they can't place an order without contacting me.

I have had my repeat business score at 100 since July 10, 2023. I have a lot of repeat buyers, so I don't really need those briefs to get orders. Since the introduction of the Repeat Business Score, my score has never been lower than 95.

Great Post

In these posts you can clearly see the difference between feedback/tips/information received from a reputable seller versus a lame answer you get from a seller who doesn't sell anything and has no experience.

SO DON'T LISTEN TO SELLERS WHO HAVE NO ORDERS/REVIEWS.

Oh this is impressive!!

Honestly, I thought Fiverr was dead until I sought your opinion(obviously some sellers are still selling like youuu).

You inspire me sir, I'd stick around cos i sure know my sh*t and even had the bests in my industry train and certify me- GOOGLE, HUBSPOT. Off here, I convert a lot for brands as a marketing specialist with impressive results and they appreciate BIGG time.

I should probably tweak my gigs and profile once more, If you could take a look at my profile and review as a brand who wants to buy from me I'd appreciate the insight.

Thanks sir!

Sorry, I just don't have time for this. I have too many orders to finish and some deadlines are short.
