Kesha
In a recent forum post here, we discussed the importance of adding a seller intro video to your profile. Beyond this, you may also want to consider adding videos to each of your gigs. Adding a gig video is an excellent way to showcase your individuality and stand out in the marketplace. Rather than relying on static gig images, a video allows you to effectively present what you offer in a captivating way. When making your video, keep these few things in mind. First, it’s important to note that if you upload a gig video, it will override any gig images you have. This means that the video will be your primary chance to make a stellar first impression and engage potential buyers. Your video should be high-quality, clear, and free from any background noise. Uploading a subpar video can adversely impact buyers' perception of you as this will be their first impression. Also, consider the length of your video, as videos can only be up to 75 seconds. Keep it concise and brief, using the time to introduce yourself, describe your service, and outline the buyer's expectations. Thorough, short, and attention-grabbing videos will keep your buyers attention and can push them to the next step. With this in mind, make sure to also include a call to action to encourage buyers to reach out. In addition, we recommend always having some sort of audio in your gig video. This helps it to be more compelling. If your video contains narration, opt for using your voice instead of computerized narration to add a personal touch. Finally, when you upload your gig video, make sure to always include a thumbnail. This step is important to remember because your video will pop up as the Gig Cover Image when buyers search in the marketplace. In conclusion, if you're seeking a way to distinguish yourself in the marketplace, incorporating a video into your gigs is an excellent starting point. Just follow these simple steps, blend them with your creativity and expertise, and you'll craft a captivating gig video in no time. The majority of the sellers may not possess the skill to make one. However, I tried many times adding videos to the gig but didn't get a remarkable positive outcome. Rather an image thumbnail brought much more clicks than a video. Maybe the quality was not up to the mark. Another thing is video replaces the image thumbnail and whatever thumbnail we use, has to be taken from the video which is unfeasible to show something artistic design. We can include a banner in a video and use that as a thumbnail by using the feature available, in that case, the banner may not be well suited to the video scene. Ultimately, it's getting complicated. How about allowing sellers to use a custom thumbnail which is not mandatory to take from the video? 105 2

To get around this, we recommend, adding an designed slide in the first second of your video so you choose it as your thumbnail. Hope this helps. 105

abeershaykh
Absolutely! first impression is the last impression. It is imperative that we put the best gig video in the market to attract potential buyers. Also, people often add the video but forget about the thumbnail, the thumbnail is just as important as the video
mohammmadjalal
You are right. Gig Videos make a good impression on the client. But the quality of the video and what information I'm giving the video also matters. Giving good information can bring clients. 72

saurav_sst
But what say reality? who is a best or a level 1 seller has no video, but they already have huge orders besides that new seller that's adding gig video, doesn't get any orders. This is reality.
fahadislamjuel
Thanks for a great post. I appreciate it. Sometimes the videos that we upload are shown in a different dimension size. Then we have to edit the video to get the dimensions right. Otherwise, the video looks weird and not what I intended it to be. Other than that, it is a great feature. If “a picture is worth a thousand words" then maybe a moving picture (video) is worth a thousand pictures. Thank you!

It gets blurry let alone 720p or 1080p. Hence blurring the thumbnail that you are gonna choose from the video. 46 1
jimkernicky
I have limited funds. Can you recommend a free source for creating a video? And would it be okay if it is just a screen capture type of video rather than using my laptop camera to appear in the video?

mshayan99
Great Information! Indeed I have seen a huge spike in impressions by adding a gig video. For the thumbnail, pre added the gig img on the very first second on video and chosen that as a thumbnail. It looks fine. Hopefully will work for me and all :)
