  1. I thought our vertical category needed some fun. Call me a nerd, but I love listening to other VAs at their best! So I thought it could be fun to share our voice-over demos here! Feel free to offer feedback to fellow voice-over artists, as long as you keep it polite, kind and professional. 😄 Rules: Upload your demo here on the forum. Only upload demos that you have permission to share and that belongs to you. Let's hear some voice-over awesomeness! 😄 I'll start: Leo Narration Web demo.mp3 Leo Commercial Demo_Current.mp3
  2. Hey there everyone! I just want to make sure I charge my customer properly before I create the custom gig for them. So, I do voice over for my gig and this client wants me to do their beat tag and it will be at the beginning of all of their songs. Do I charge Full Broadcasting Rights for this? Thank you in advanced!
  3. I keep getting buyers who ask the info which I already wrote in my gigs description... At first I was thinking is my gig not details enough? After I keep updates my gigs and wrote as details as possible but the same question also exists. For example: "I DO NOT provide any translation service. " is clearly written in my gig's description and I even wrote in below the Q&A. Guess what~ Here's some examples in the buyer's message I met. Buyer A: ...you will need to convert the English into Japanese in your voice... Buyer B: ...I need a 1. translation 2. voiceover... Buyer C : Ok i will send you 75 words in english can you say it normally in japanese?... 😐... Just wonder, do buyers ever read the description? No offense! Just curious!
  4. I remember people on the forum talking about how AI voice overs weren't very good (quality-wise) etc. and I think even Fiverr complains when gig videos use an AI/computer generated voice that was obviously computer generated (they may deny a gig video for that I think). There were thread(s) also talking about how someone was talking about the risk of someone using AI voice overs (eg. where they could create a natural sounding voice over with a relatively short sample of the seller's voice - eg. not needing hours of samples). Though now Fiverr have an "AI voice audition" option in the voice over section that's in beta. It doesn't show for all VO gigs. Maybe it's just a few of them. What are people's thoughts on that? It allows you to enter part of a script (up to 100 characters) and you can then play the AI VO output based on that seller's voice (I assume it's been trained on audio samples from the seller). Surely if people thought it was good quality and it's not got an audio watermark people could use it and copy it somehow without paying (so it could be a risk) - eg. entering their script 100 characters at a time and playing it. Also if people thought it was good enough quality couldn't it be a risk to VO sellers (ie. it could be promoting AI voice overs)? And if it's not good quality couldn't it be presenting the VO seller badly (eg. make a buyer less likely to buy)?
  5. I don't see the option for this when creating or editing a voice over gig, nor do I see the option in voice over gigs when browsing as a buyer. Other types of gigs within music & audio have this. I assume this is intentional. Perhaps I'm missing some obvious logical reason. I appreciate that word count can easily be adjusted, but packages with and without things like commercial rights seem sensible to me. If someone could point out the obvious reason, that would be nice. I don't mind looking a little foolish 🙂
  6. Hi everyone ! Please I need guidence on how to deal with a client, this is the second time she made an order without previously talk to me paying less when the script is 2 gigs, when I sent the extra for the correct amount, she rejected. saying the client dosnt pay more. She is a video producer, is reselling a service she doesnt provide as a voice over talent. It´s this ok ? Fine lets do it ( I cant afford a cancelation cuz mi level got down ) The script she sent me is to long for an audio of 30 seconds she wants, I expleined that, I recorded the audio sent it and tell her again look full file is 50 seconds it is impossible to make it 30´, cut the script (she has 1 revision) but she keeps asking me, re recording, re editing as she wants even I offer solutions with the right timming. without understand that there to many words. I kindly explain everything. and after severals takes she continues doing the same. Firts it is not a client wich I want to work again, is not respecting the price of mi gigs, she´s also a seller on fiverr so she knows how this works... I told her than before placed an order she most talk to me. She doesnt matter! Its there a way to block a client? or what can I do ? Now I keep sending her new takes of voice and I just hope to end this order, I noticed that Fiverr support team is not very helpful on this kind of issues, they will tell me to try to solve this with the client. So, I just keep sending retakes ? Thanks in advance for your response!

  8. Hello, greetings to all I'm a new user to Fiverr Business and Forum, here's my first gig https://www.fiverr.com/s2/dbfc3d4bc I have few questions regarding voice-over gig, is it possible if we use generated voice for videos voice-overs instead of my own voice? Thanks
  9. I am curious of how the "Buyer Request" submissions make their way to potential Sellers. I understand its based on what skills we select as Sellers, but it seems there are too little offerings at times and I was curious if there was more on the back end or something we can do to see more requests? Struggling to gain some traction 🤦🏻‍♂️! Thanks - Tony
  10. It seems like with my voice over gigs things come in waves. Sometimes I get a bunch of orders and it's going great and other times it's slow. No matter what, I do my best to get the highest quality voice over for them and seeing a happy customer keeps me going even if it's one a day. Y'all find this to be the same for you? Things tend to wax and wane for you too when it comes to orders?
  11. So I started on Fiverr waaaaay back when it was still young. I did silly videos for folks for cheap ads and other testimonial videos. They were not that great if I'm being honest but it was fun! There weren't buyer requests then so I would just get random orders every week or so. But in the past 4 years I've done a total swap to voice over and it's been really neat to see Fiverr change. It's gone much more big business and has things it itself sells and has higher rankings then when they started with. Definetly become more competitive and you need to find a way to make yourself stand out from the crowd. I've enjoyed my time so far on fiverr and really think it's been a great website to be on!
  12. Have you upgraded to the M1 yet? I just upgraded to the new iMac M1 and should have compared the specs but realized my Izotope RX 8 Standard plugins are not compatible! UGHHHHH! We found some code to write in to help it along but it doesn't function right. The Izotope plugins need to run on an Intel not a Chip! Izotope CS says it will be a few months and they totally know the issue! My DAW is Adobe Audition, Universal Audio Apollo Solo, the Izotope RX 8 Standard plugins and can't figure out the Manley Voxbox yet if anyone knows!!
