Ask the Community

The first two weeks I became fiverr seller (as translator), I learned and questioned more. 

1. The first I got order I was excited, but they want to gave me further information from email (at that time still don’t know about this scam things). They act like a ‘legal and active’ buyer; gave criteria and explain in detail what project result they want, they active in email ask for the progress even view my progress email(do I seem naive?) and the price is reasonable for the number of letters and the number of days it will take to complete the project. Then the question come…when I went to get my payment they ask to transfer for refundable fee for the VAT Code, said ‘to successfully linked their payment server to my PayPal’. Then form this problem my suspicions arose? Did I got scame(I’m still haven’t tf yet) but my logic it’s seem legit, after all PayPal ask me tf to linked my debit card too.(was this a scam too?) 

2. All my buyer question either open head with…hey I had this project bla-bla-bla, for further information chat me on telegram/ send me your email so I can send their project detail/ redirected this further information project to other parties telegram or email (and some reason all this ‘buyer’ was a new user, this year) 

3. When I’m asked something about this project detail or if I want just chat in the platform, they dismissed didn't answer and insistent from what they want with no further information and always ends up involve other parties either want to distracted me to accept this offer outside this platform ( even though there a slip sweet line ‘ I will order and transfer your payment from fiverr) 

4. Some want my email reasoned that there some error I can’t upload to fiverr bla-bla-bla, so reverse I’m asked them their email then I’m dm them and…wallah ‘point 2 and 3’ happened 

5. I already got bunch of ‘unethical’ buyer almost over ten for this two weeks. Let’s say I accept translator project $2000 over 3 thousand words finished in 2-3 days, may seems impossible to gave to a newbie freelancer….but are there some newbie who got job like this and it’s a ‘legit’ buyer and your payment successfully transferred?
