I’ve been a seller on Fiverr for about two years, and throughout that time, I’ve consistently delivered high-quality work, communicated effectively with buyers, and completed all my projects on time. I’ve built more than what’s needed to achieve Top Rated Seller status, yet my success score has dropped below the threshold for even Level 2. This has been incredibly frustrating, especially since it means I’ll lose my Seller 2 status despite my track record. 

The reason? I work in the UGC niche, where timelines are far less predictable. Products need to be physically shipped to me, and that process can’t be accurately timed. Sometimes revisions are required, or shipping issues occur, and in some cases, orders even need to be cancelled because the product couldn’t be sent to my location. These are factors completely outside my control, yet Fiverr’s system seems to penalize me for them. 

I’ve reached out to Fiverr support several times about this, and all I get are vague responses about how the success score is calculated by a “complex algorithm.” They claim my communication isn’t up to par, yet I’ve consistently received 5-star reviews from buyers across the board. 

It feels like the success score is heavily biased against certain niches like UGC, where delays and challenges are often unavoidable. Fiverr’s algorithm doesn’t seem to account for the nuances of different industries, and it’s incredibly disheartening. As a result, I’ve made the tough decision to close my Fiverr account because it just doesn’t seem like the platform understands or supports sellers in the UGC space. 

This is a huge disappointment for me after working so hard to build my business here, and I hope Fiverr will take a closer look at how they’re managing success scores in niche industries like mine.
