That was the question that clouded my head few hours after waiting for him to give meaningful insight on the job. At every keystrokes to typing an email raises a flag warning. I provided an email without association to my fiverr account in my defence to not loose my first order, but I was so curious and confused, asking myself, "when did fiverr introduce this?"

I took to Google to seek opinion, this "overview response" I got should be enough to save any new victim seller hopefully to avoid falling victim of this sketch scheme. Just to echo the voices warning against the phishing and scam trend. Lucky enough, the email type probably had no use to them.

I'd say No, it is not ideal to provide your email address to a buyer to get your first order on Fiverr; in fact, it is a major red flag for a scam. Sharing personal contact information like your email is against Fiverr's Terms of Service and is a tactic used by scammers to get your information. You should not share your email with anyone and should instead report and block the user. 

Stay on the platform: Fiverr requires all communication and transactions to stay within its platform to protect both buyers and sellers. 

Scam tactic: A buyer asking for your email to "place an order" is a common scam. They may then send you fake emails claiming you need to pay a fee to verify your account to receive your earnings. 

How to proceed: Report the message to Fiverr and block the user to protect yourself from scams. 

Trustworthy buyers: Real buyers will use the Fiverr messaging system to discuss your gig, requirements, and delivery, not to ask for your personal contact details. 

How you receive orders: You will be notified of a new order through Fiverr's system, and you will receive notifications through the platform's app and/or your registered email address, not through direct contact from the buyer.
