Vibe coding is one of the hottest trends in software development right now, and it’s starting to reshape the traditional and strict manual process that is usually associated with coding.

The term “vibe coding” was coined this year by renowned computer scientist Andrej Karpathy, former director of AI and Autopilot Vision at Tesla and co-founder of OpenAi. The concept allows both seasoned programmers and beginners to use AI to input in plain language, which the AI then transforms into working code. If you’ve ever used tools like Copilot or ChatGPT to generate or assist with code, then you’ve already experienced a bit of vibe coding in action. 

While it’s not perfect and definitely not a total replacement for human creativity or strategy, vibe coding enables fast prototyping, experimentation, and an intuitive “build first, refine later” workflow. 

 make this process more accessible than ever, but the dev world seems divided on this. Some are all in while others are skeptical about its longevity and usefulness.
