 What if someone wanted to get work done on Fiverr without paying for it? How hard would it be? Turns out, not that hard if you know the system’s weak spots. 

The buyer's main Fiverr account has a strong track record (over 96 transactions, ratings of 4.8 and 4.6, Fiverr Select Buyer status), making it easy to gain trust. But recently, I found myself on the 

abused Fiverr’s revision system and manipulated the feedback system to try and scam me.

 (likely to avoid bad reviews and game the system). 

request revisions with vague or non-actionable feedback to keep the order in limbo, never providing specific changes that could be addressed.

Keep pressing the revision button with unclear feedback, 

Once the deadline is far gone and I’m pressured, 

claim the work is ‘completely different’ from what was requested.

Demand a refund, despite already having full access to the completed project. 

I delivered a functional, fully working no-code app on 

 The buyer acknowledged it, used it, and had no issues for over a week. Then, suddenly, 

 Each request was vague, non-actionable, and had nothing to do with actual corrections—just tactics to delay and frustrate me. When I pointed this out and asked for clear feedback, they went silent, then resurfaced claiming the project was 

I offered a Zoom walkthrough to help them understand the app, but they ignored it. Now, they’re 

Fiverr tends to favor buyers, and sellers are often left helpless in cases like this. 

, and I hope they take action to stop this kind of exploitation. 

If the buyer succeeds, they will receive a free app without any payment, and I’ll have lost 

Be wary of buyers using a new account after discussing the order on a main account.

Use Fiverr’s milestone payments for larger projects

 and escalate to Fiverr ASAP if you see red flags. 

I have contacted Fiverr support today (March 3, 2025) via email and am waiting for their response. 

For context, I am a Fiverr seller with 52 completed orders and a 5-star rating. 

I hope for the best. And I will let you know how Fiverr support handled this case of potential buyer scam. 

it’s a system flaw that affects all sellers.
