Ask the Community

I have a buyer messaging me about my logo design gig, sending me details for a logo they need designed. It all looks pretty normal at first. Then they say they're trying to place an order but the credit card isn't going through. They send me a screenshot of the error message they're getting, oddly with their credit card number fully visible in the background. They say they contacted Fiverr support and were advised their credit card has a problem, so it's a bank issue. Meanwhile the buyer says they are under a tight deadline to get this job done and are worried about meeting the deadline. 

It sound suspicious, sort of like they want me to start the work without payment made so that they can stay ahead of their deadline. 

Anyone encountered anything similar before? 

Is this a scam? Buyer messaging me with order details but having payment issues...
